I prefer darwins natural selection. the world is ever changing so things in this world need to adapt to survive in this ever changing world. Filesharing on a global scale is the new player on the scene and its very succesfull. if something is succesfull it will grow and force other beings out of excistence or force them to adapt so they can promote their own chance of survival. it can also promote the growth of other beings in this new worl order.

to put it in other words. the companies that are losing money need to find other ways to prevent piracy otherwise just like 99,9% of other animal species they will go extinct. Companies that can adapt will surive and those that cant or wont are doomed.

I hope this rambling made some sense. if not well too bad haha.

The game i bought after downloading was world of warcraft. why? i could not get the damb thing working. i had everything except a valid serial. Blizzard did a good job to make sure its really hard (for me) to play without an original serial.

Well Well looks like this topic is gunna go for ages.
I’ve been thinking, does anyone give a thought about this sharing stuff and really considerwhat’s going on. It’s PPL like us who share that will probably make no effect on those giant media corporations, why coz for whatever reason we have be it broke, don’t care, whatever we, most of us would probably never buy the stuff we share for what ever reason we have. So the giant corps would never make money from us anyway’s. So what’s all the fuss with file sharing, don’t you think that it’s really us who are guilty of making those big fellas rich? how you may think?
When we don’t buy we share and promote the material for free giving millions access to whatever we have, we are advertising for the Rich!.. and free of charge too.
those who can afford what we share most likely would not even know of the products with out us. cause we get we try and we converse with others about these products tell other PPL what is good and what is shit. Those who can afford the stuff then buy it and make some goon super rich. I wonder how these large corporations would survive if file sharing was completely shut down! they would starve coz most rich ppl keep things to them selves and do not tell the competition what they got or how good it is or how enjoyable it is. Because the rich are greedy little shits who don’t share diddly shit with anyone.
It’s really farsical how the whole thing works (the world system).
Lets this about this one for a minute let’s say some bastard get busted for whatever stupid reason like the gurus that got busted that started this subject we all get talking about it and in turn are promoting the stuff that was available for sharing all of a sudden ppl who can afford to buy get scared shitless of the authorities and buy the stuff we are sharing for fear that they will get busted and be put to shame, and pay a huge fine for which they will stupidly pay, But us penniless fools don’t get scared so we keep on sharing, and any way half the stuff we share probably prompts us to spend a little on hardware not software to be able to use the stuff, all of a sudden harware vewndors are making more money. (someone alway’s wins)
But the real losers are us living out our fantasies while using shared stuff we are really financialy better of perhaps even a little depressed the more.
If i got busted I could not give a damn because I can not even afford to pay my rent let alone some huge $100,000 and above fine. Lock me up then and feed me give me a bed to sleep in in my own room at night and hope to God no one screw’s me up the arse, like they do on the outside if you know what i mean.
That does not mean I don’t care for the law and am a criminal…no way quite the opposite.
Now let’s give this a real thought as to who the real law breakers are..

Hi,
When someone gave me a christmas present and decided to give it to my neighbour who add no such luck, cops did not show up.
Now when I share the programs that I bough to people who don t have the sufficient ressources to get it, the cops may knock on my door.

Now, the debate is simple. Or we use internet, the good and the bad who comes with it, or we live without it, being sure that the supercompanys make their superbucks.
But you can not sell us faster and faster internet connections and expecting us just to surf arround with it.
Why do governements (EU and USA in frontline) and tech companis spend billions on bringing up the speed of connections? To read poems, emails, and CNN?
They can not punish us for a crime they helped us to comit. Cause, face it, if we all remained on dial up, P2P would not eve exist.

So please leave us alone, and stop blaming us for using internet at its maximum capacity.
Now, sure there will be lees budget in movies and music clips. I don t feel so bad about that. Maybe there will be more space for real music, less Britney shit, Backstree Boys and all these things… And if musician want to make more money thay can go make more concerts, and earn their life like everbody else.
About the movies, they could start spending more times on their scenarios, instead of spending more money on their special effects. (5th Element costed one fifth the budget of Terminator 3…)
Anyway, these are remakrs and ideas… Just to tell to the world to stop attacking us for what they gave us, and start take us as part of an evolution which is affecting all and everywhere.

I have to say tek had the best post. I mean thats how it works. But if your that dumbass enough (RELOADED?) to run a server in ur house, ur asking for it. How do u think kazaa did soo good and still never got busted like crapster? well b/c it isn’t dumbass enough to run servers in the usa. Back in the day ( 2001 or so on a win 95 packard bell), I heard how they run their servers overseas, which is how it should be done. Hell go run some servers in the forests of africa or india or somewhere, but def. not in your own damn house! that’s just plain ignorant…

i mean damn if u have the money to afford a server, AND that good of a connection, surely u can afford to take a trip ( or wire money) to a good friend in a foreign land to host it….
but that’s just me.

and also, i dunno how much of this is true but from what I hear, its the sharing that’s illegal. so if u dload something, and you at least half-ass make it look legit (iso’s?) and there’s no trace u shared it, then its legal. You can tell em you had a copy but sold it, and kept your backup…
