The most ironic part of it all is how they call themselves a “theft-prevention” caucus.

The one they attack are the ones that don’t “steal” anything since they don’t “substract” anything.

On the other hand, the ones they defend are the ones that often “substract” (mostly rights) from people by wrongfully claiming ownership on different media. (wrongful takedown notices on YouTube or Google, wrongful claiming of ownership of books, characters, or simple patterns… and the list goes on…)

Wrongfully claiming ownership is more akin to “theft” than file sharing. But still, according to them, “pirates” are the only ones in the wrong.
