It’s really never a good idea to generate a whole blog post out of no news at all other than a twist in some blog-to-blog soap opera. In this case you had to stretch the subject matter so far to get a halfway-newsy sounding headline out of it, that once I started reading the article I had to double-check to make sure I had not misclicked.

I like TorrentFreak. But don’t think people won’t notice what just happened here. The usually tireless and surefooted maintainer of the site got emotional over a personal pissing contest with some irrelevant critic, and let it cloud his judgement to the point where it’s almost as if he intentionally tortured it into a news item thus subverting the goal of his own site. This is disappointing. This is I’m sure not what you originally envisioned starting this blog to achieve.

Just keep fighting the good fight and ignore the noise. Signal over noise, it’s all about SNR.
