I remember long ago I was working in at a BK and like everyone there I used to take a nugget or 2 while at work, considering it’s not really an easy work with the heat and standing while working so I guess it’s really nothing a nugget or two

But this manager started prohibiting everyone and talking like if you calculated all the nuggets been eating like this in all BKs that’s a fortune. For God sake man !

1st of all they are not that good and God knows are they healthy or not ! so I am taking a risk there like always you find this paradox the product to start with is not that great to shell out $$$ for it

2nd of all, they nuggets in BK case cost them in the negative ! for real , I did the calculations! in fact they should be giving you money with your order! (same as having the product dirt cheap)

In the case of SAW , I dread the day I went (how dumb of me) to the movies and payed hard earned money on that crap of a movie!

Darren Bousman, should be paying me money to go for a session or two to a psychologist to reverse the damage !

And I know, at least in my case, that anyone who value a product will sooner or later buy it/ pay for it simply cuz this is our nature of saying thanks buddy good job you deserve $$$ (well if you have that $$$)

I also wanted to thank everyone who registered at the site to discuss the situation and not just spam and antagonize.

I know see the other side of this and for those who use this medium to get a feel for something then go out and buy it thats a great thing, but when its done out of not wanting to “waste” your money on music or movies, no I dont agree with that, its art, its their craft, they deserve to be paid for it. I hope that some can see that aspect of this as well.

We have tried our best now to put this to rest and respectfully ask that others do the same.

This film is fighting for its life, abadoned by the studio that funded it for the most part (if you can call the ridiculous budget for such a film “funding”) and left on its own, we the fans have taken a grassroots effort to do our best to give it a chance to be noticed. It really is what its being described as, the next Rocky Horror for lack of better description, it is so unique that hearing it almost doesnt do it justice, I am one of the fortunate few who have seen it (Austin film fest 3 times) and hope that it gets beyond the cage like release the studio is tryingt to cram it into.

I implore you to show your heart here and let this issue dissolve.

Everyone’s calming down, which is nice, but I’m sure you see that both sides will have the hard-cores they have to deal with – that always seems to be the case, no matter the subject matter, no matter the parties involved.

Now I’m hoping (as part of the torrent community myself) we can put this behind us. No more doing things out of spite. If you wanna download the soundtrack, no one is going to stop you, but maybe look into the movie a bit more, give it a chance. You never know, you might find something you like!

and @179: Funnily enough, Repo fans STILL commented on the pre-surgery sampler torrent on Demonoid, complaining that people should have got it from the official site instead. Some people just bitch for the hell of it.

Another factor to consider is the cock-up on Itunes and Topspin – what if someone bought the album from there and ended up with missing/corrupted tracks? Should they wait until the problem EVENTUALLY gets resolved, or should they go and download the tracks they’ve paid for but couldn’t get?

The Repo fans conceded their mistakes: they shouldn’t have tried uploading fake torrents. They understand that.

I personally had nothing to do with the Torrent strike because I guess I don’t have the technical stuff down. I’m an artist and my brain just isn’t wired to know how all that works. If that makes me an idiot sheep, then I’m sorry, but I’ll call out my color. Baaah. I would like to point out, though, that I am not a basement-dwelling alter-creating “fanboi” – I happen to be a nicely rotund married woman, in fact. What I, as an anti-”copyright-infringement” repo fan am upset about, is the threat to the full OST, and therefore, the film. I am an artist myself, as I stated, and deal with bohemian trappings in my life I’d rather not have to embrace.

I don’t know what to say to your claims of free advertising. Like I said, I don’t know much about torrent sites or its users. My initial reaction was, “oh come on, if you download it, would you really buy it?” But many of you claim to do just that, and I have no choice but to take you at your word. I sincerely hope that most of the torrent community operates this way, but I also worry that my naive thinking will prove wrong. I hope not, but… eh, what can I do to change that? Not one thing.

So people in my area have a street team. We put our OWN money and time and efforts into spreading the word about how awesome Repo is. With permission, I put 3 tracks on a sample CD that we hand out and tell people all about it every chance I get. That idea may seem crazy to you. I’m sorry if it does. I happen to think Repo’s worth it.

I understand that you don’t worry about seeing the film, because you all can download it when someone decides to make it available. That’s great. But I love the music and I want to experience the FULL effect of the film where it was meant to be played – in a theater with full surround sound and a nice big screen. Preferably with my Coke and Jiffy Pop.

And I AM sorry if I seem a bit snarky – it just seems like an all-out flame war is ridiculous. I sincerely doubt none of us are stupid, just passionate about our own causes. I had nothing to do with the production of Repo, but I can understand the makers’ passion, and Darren is telling the truth. REPO has been 10 years in the making. That kind of dedication deserves a reward, in my opinion. If you disagree, that’s fine. I accept that not everyone has my views or tastes.

And on topic: Boondock saints never got released in theaters, and it did really well on dvd. They didn’t change their mind and go back and release it in theaters. What Repo”!” wants is not gonna happen, but you did generate publicity (mostly for pirates, although some for yourself).

Hey guys, someone just forwarded me this site – and I have read everything. First off, let me say this has gotten way out of hand – I have just gone on the REPO boards and asked all our board members to stop spamming torrent sites. Up until recently I didn’t know what Torrent was. Only a place where people could get things free. REPO is a labor of love for all who worked on it. We don’t have a big team working on the film – and almost everything has been grass roots. The album was released and our hope was it would do well enough to turn heads in the higher ups. Then I started getting emails the album could be downloaded for free. As any creator would do I turned to the fans and asked for help. As this movie is seriously my life.

While I don’t agree with everything I read here – I do see a lot of your points – I never would have seen before. Whats important to me is having people see the film – and talk about it. So if you have the album – even if you downloaded it – I hope you enjoy it. And at least give the film a chance.

Anyway, I have asked all the board members to stop with torrent sites.

I hope you understand as a director – and someone who has been trying for almost ten years to get this made – why I was concerned.
