I'm having a very similar problem to what you described but with the soundtracks to 'Ducktales' and an old animated Canadian movie called 'Rock & Rule'.

It completely impossible to find either's music
anywhere except for some bootlegs on YouTube which are all bad to ho-hum quality and filled with sound effects.

In the case of the Ducktales OST a Disney representative responded to the demand (There's a petition for it and everything!) saying something along the lines of "nobody wants 'outdated' music" and have stonewalled the incident up until today.

http://www.change.org/petitions/disney-records-intrada-release-the-complete-music-score-for-ducktales-on-cd-and-or-itunes

The petition is currently at 100+ signatures and several have mentioned they would be willing to pay 40$ for the soundtrack. Almost the same price of that Green Eyed God album you linked there! (And they probably would pay that same price if it was made available)

But Disney doesn't give a fuck. AFAIK Ducktales doesn't even air on Disney's own TV channel anymore. It's like they've completely abandoned it and want to forget it exists.

Yet 20 years ago you couldn't go anywhere without seeing Ducktales allover the place! This total rejection of their older content is insane.

BTW, I'm among the ones who bootlegged some of the music for Ducktales.. I actually went and systematically checked each and every single episode for certain songs, cut those parts out, then remix them back together Frankenstein fashion to remove voices and most sounds. It's unbelievably stupid that I even had to do this to get the music!

No matter what I do it will never be as good as an official release, UNLESS I decide to get some music making software and remake them all from scratch. I'm considering it! Disney will never care and never do anything about it. And the people who made Rock & Rule went bankrupt I think, so they probably aren't around anymore to release anything anyway.

Of course even if I do remake them there might be takedowns to ensure it continues to be unavailable. Things like this are why I hate copyrestrict SO much.

All that money and they are no closer to solving the problem. Sounds like a government run program. Keep throwing resources at it, in this case money, maybe it will get fixed.

So just sit back and wait for the next report from the company, explaining how good this is working. Tell them what they want to hear, not the truth. Nice to know that the Jedi Mind Trick works on corporate idiots...

Ah so that's what the entertainment industry means when they claim they lose millions of dollars due to piracy. It's not from the actual people downloading but funding put towards hair-brain schemes like "six strikes" which I doubt stopped even ONE would-be pirate.
