I've downloaded terabytes of data through thepiratebay with BTGuard. They have three servers, two of them you can watch two different Netflix libraries with. I can't speak for the speed, though. My internet package is pretty sad to begin with so I wouldn't see much of a hit on my d/l or u/l speeds with them.

Their customer service is absolute shit, though. The only thing that makes up for it is their service is rock solid, I've never had it go in or out which can be risky if I'm downloading something off TPB.

torrentfreak has an article listing a Q&A with several VPN providers trying to gauge how seriously they take your privacy, look for it but just keep in mind they're pandering to get your money.

It's striking to see how the media companies have not taken the opportunity to wipe these VPN providers out by offering their own global/universal service that is a similar pricing per month. Talk about being brain dead.

Geez, and i thought Freeview was a waste of money! cMy mother has Sky, and they're charging over $100 a month, having less than 30GB storage on the HDI box, charging $40 a match for american ppv wrestling (which we obviously don't watch), while still having ads. They don't even air some of TV shows here (i.e. favouring U̶n̶c̶l̶e̶ ̶G̶r̶a̶n̶d̶p̶a̶ "Uncle Incest" over MLP, "Breadlosers" over CatDog, Family Guy over anything decent, airing MTV, Fox News, and 3 DIFFERENT SHOPPING CHANNELS on their service, etc...). Congradulations SKY, you're officially worse than Comcast/WarnerCable/ETC for proving to being a member of the mafiaa by geo-blocking (and not having anything decent to watch a lot of the time).

In terms of geo-blocking, we get it REALLY BAD here in NZ (probably worse than Australia). Should be banned. If you're delaying it for over 6 months, then NO WONDER people are using torrents and VPNs. They just refuse to do fair business with us.

Also, can anypony recomend a good VPNs here in NZ? Cus I need one to download torrents through my father's ISP account without him being skelped with that catfscking 3-strikes law we have here.

They do realize that VPN's are used for a lot more than just piracy right? Oh well; VPN providers can simply do business with someone who isn't bending over backwards to appease the MAFIAA.

“We are a business that pays people who create television so we are
against any form of piracy or the undermining of intellectual property
rights,” Sky TV spokeswoman Kirsty Way said."

I think what she means to say is that it "May" cut into our profits so we just won't have it. You all know the rest.
Censorship at it's very finest!!
