Seems well reported, Ernesto. It’s an interesting fact that until you were dissed at Slyck, I had never been to this site before and it’s cost them a regular reader.

As you say, and a lot more succinctly than that verbose oaf at Slyck, it seems merely a datacentre error. Nothing to worry about here, by the looks of things.

But it is telling that you have obviously taken the time and trouble to contact Snarf staff (sorry) before putting fingers to keys and knocking out 10 paragraphs of drivel to one of news. Well done and thanks

We haven’t been raided but we have lost our RAID so we are rebuilding some indexes and transferring them to the new server which has 6 x 36gb raptors in RAID 50, that should help us should this happen again. MPAA are, to put it simple, idiots. There is nothing illegal about torrent files, and it should by all means be safe to host those files on a server regardless of country, unless that country has a law specifically adressing that .torrent files and bittirrent technology is a direct cause of copyright infrigment.

Why would US torrent site owners want their servers in the US? Doesn’t this leave them open to being sued anyways for copyright infringement? Its pretty obvious the MPAA\RIAA ******** dont care what a .torrent file contains its sue ‘em all anyways..

My guess is the White House, MPAA RIAA etc is behind this, and if that is true, they are in some deep shit. .torrent files only have information about the file, not the file itself. And there should be a law in the U.S. or wherever the servers were stored that the server maintenance crew/owner etc should be notified by the people seizing their property… SUE THE BASTARDS
