Sorry for my English,Did my best :)

"Meh: You are so mean! Finally did it! Skip a beer a month and support the Swedish developers and musicians!"

Something like the above, I have read 100 times now (well actually, it is discussed at all forums and blogs I hang on!).

This is why I do not think it's worth the money:

1) It is a service to stream music. The thing is that you are the streams the music itself. Search the C: Users AppData Local Spotify Storage A fairly large folder. As Spotify hand out to others who listen to music. You must pay in order to allow others to play music from your hard drive? Big no!

2) It is a service to stream music. You do not own anything after your purchase. What happens when the company goes bankrupt in 10 months? 1000: - removed. And you do not even have an mp3 file left (folder above is grossly encrypted). "They will not go bankrupt! They are great!" Well, just that Spotify is still not made ??profits ever in its entire lifetime (it has not changed since last time I heard anything I guess). They live on artificial respiration by investors.

3) There is no guarantee that the songs you like will be in the future. Not even those who now have to remain in a month, you live under the record companies' power. Do not use Spotify anymore, they stop.

What is the best-spent money? SEK 1000 for 10 months or listening to a bunch of discs that you can keep forever?

4) Those who should get money get them. Musicians. Even here, they get a small percentage of the totals, while record companies are taking up the largest amounts, but still small.

Soooo ... That was it.--

Spotify is trying, yes.

It's not enough.

Last time I knew the music companies need consumers in order to stay afloat. Therefore, they DO work on our terms. Don't give us what we want? You'll go bankrupt. Simple as that.

See, this is why the Copydicks say that the whole "make it easily available as cheap as possible and we wouldn't pirate" argument is a crock of shite. Because people like you genuinely don't give a f**k about paying for anything.

When Spotify came out, I stopped downloading music and signed on. Still waiting for a decent equivalent for TV / movies to appear here in good ole blighty but if they ever sort those out, I probably wouldn't download those anymore either if it's half decent.

We keep saying "innovate or die". When they innovate, we should support them - not say "nope, not good enough for me, come back when you've somehow figured out how to make everything completely free and delivered on my terms". Which is what you're saying, and is why I think that you sir, are a jackass.

Spotify is trying. Innovation itself will die if it isn't supported. Support it.
