When I was in school the books per semester cost more than the credits. Then they would want to give you $35 for $300 worth of books, in perfect condition. I’ve seen quite a few people get angry when trying to get money for books.

Secondly, the school contributes to the scheme because they get a kick back. The real sleezey part is coming out with a new edition every year that makes the previous books obsolete. I understand doing it when technology changes make it necessary, but in most cases, all they do is move some chapters around, and call it a “different” book. They get what they deserve
