BitTorrent is the most widely used P2P protocol. New BitTorrent sites emerge regularly and we at TorrentFreak often get requests from people to write about their BitTorrent startups. Chan Nai-ming, the first man ever convicted for using BitTorrent has lost his appeal. Chan was charged last year for copyright infringement for uploading the movies “Daredevil”, “Miss Congeniality” and “Red Planet”. He was eventually sentenced to three months in prison, but was released on bail pending appeal, which he now lost.
Some of the largest BitTorrent sites on the web have decided to sell their sites to Searching Unlimited LTD. They will work together in an effort to monetize the BitTorrent search engines, and create more innovative projects.
