You would only be violating copyright producing slippers if you’re copying an existing design. If you copied the make of slipper, or bootlegging, then it’s a patent infringement. If it’s an original design with not effort to make it look like another company’s product then you’re okay.

Lawsuits over copyright and patent infringements are nothing new. But rarely do they go after small producers unless there’s a clear effort to copy an existing product such as a Cabbage Patch Kid or a designer handbag.

Now it certainly isn’t a given that we’re looking at some Baghdad Bob copyright cultist creating a new nick with every comment.
However, it certainly isn’t credible to find pro-copyright comments only ever coming from freshly made accounts or ones with a hidden history.

Especially when the entire comment made is lies packed on top of fundamentally erroneous statements.

What I should have done was state “You missed the 50′s to 90′s”.

The copyright cult has certainly gone after any form of copying and any individual trying to copy media. And they have, every time a new type of container’s been invented.

Now to answer your original question again – Yes, of course the copyright cult goes after individuals. Or rather, a horde of third-rate former ambulance chasers in the form of unscrupulous and immoral lawyers do. And that was the same irrelevant of whether the technology was Radio, Cassette tapes, the VCR or the DVD.

Not saying I would fight it either. Its expensive. The community needs a crowd sourced defense fund to fight these bullies. Once it’s no longer cost effective to sue innocent people they’ll stick to cases they can actually win.
