The link to filesharing and business success of media companies hasn’t ever been proven. In fact, the industry has been on a bit of a roll lately so it’s even harder to prove. Also, there’s plenty of substantial studies on the purchasing power behind file sharers that contradicts the assumptions. Unfortunately, ill-informed opinions like yours are what keeps the masses unwittingly supporting the RIAA/MPAA tactics.
