The top 10 most downloaded movies on BitTorrent. A lot of newcomers, while “Kung Fu Panda” tops the chart this week.

We do not link to actual torrent files because linking to files that link to files that may be copyrighted is something that might get us in trouble.

The data is collected by TorrentFreak, and is for informational and educational reference only. Currently both DVDrips, DVD Screeners and R5 rips are counted.

I think this is a poor list.. i hate 90% of those movies. How did kung fu panda get to no.1?

Please please please please, with sugar on top: don’t include R5 releases. Their quality usually sucks.

r5’s are betters than screeners, maybe you just don’t know to pick the right one

ive seen 9 of those movies. 5 at the movies, 4 i downloaded. i may watch too many movies ^o)

You said it #1

Wanted was OK.

Indiana was Painful.. instant delete. So bad I would demand my money back from a theater which they would in-turn laugh in my face.

Get Smart was bleh.. just funny enough to keep you watching the entire movie.. desperate for another funny part. He just cant do anything other then The Office.

Hulk was OK.

These lists arent even about the quality of the movie.. there just new and people are like DOWNLOAD!!! And then everybody deletes them.. because they suck.. but they managed to get through another 2 hours of there life without being ripped off.. so people find peace within themselves.. it sucks wasting 2 hours of your life.. but it sucks even worst to waste that and be ripped off at the same time. Yes thats right MPAA.. lick mah ballz.

Just look at that list, most of the movies are crap and thats why they didnt do too well and their DVD sales are going to be crap… but expect a
“because of piracy we lost X billion in DVD sales” rather than an honest admission of:
“we made crap and the public didnt want to really buy crap this year.”

I have to concur – rather disappointed by the vast majority of the entries on this list.

11 Oct 27, 2008 at 18:08 by Bigboudda

I may be wrong, but I didn’t see any R5 version released for Tropic Thunder. Only a DVDSCR…

Is there a mistake in that list?

12 Oct 27, 2008 at 18:14 by NastyBedazzler

Tropic Thunder and Wanted were both good movies. I saw Burn After Reading in the theatres and was a bit disappointed, although the second half was pretty good.

#11 – Bigboudda

Even i was wondering the same thing.
Tropic Thunder’s R5 isn’t out only DvdScr

maybe we should be checking the dvd sales performance of Kungfupanda. In case the sales are overperforming then this will mean that p2p networks and dvd sales are nothing in common

funny, all the good DVDrips are just axxo’s weekly release’s.

They’re not the most Pirated; More like the best quality of the week.

16 Oct 27, 2008 at 22:52 by King J

what is an axxo?

17 Oct 27, 2008 at 23:00 by micky

axxo is a shitty 700mb DVD ripper. Most everybody here thinks he’s the shit because he knows how to encode his movies with XviD. Wannabe scener if you ask me. He’s not the shit – he’s the urine.

18 Oct 27, 2008 at 23:19 by forkandknife

stop including screeners and r5’s completely ruins the sincerity of the list. their quality is shit usually

19 Oct 28, 2008 at 00:38 by Random

@ all whiners:Complaining about quality? DVD screeners and R5 are of near DVD quality, what’s wrong with that? It’s more than watchable. Or are you all HD whores?

About the list(IMHO): 1/2/4/8/10 = watchable and sort of enjoyable
3/5/6 if your really REALLY bored.

7, well there’s no excuse really.

Thanks for the list TT

maybe it’s me but i can’t find the r5 of #4 anywhere

21 Oct 28, 2008 at 04:06 by Tomson

good god, bunch of whiny ass bitches.

22 Oct 28, 2008 at 05:45 by Anonymous

As usual, movies fucking suck. I couldn’t be paid to watch this shit.

23 Oct 28, 2008 at 08:39 by tramline

Not a bad film considering I didn’t pay for them.
Films like kung fu panda hit number one so easily because of all the downloaders that have kids. No way am I forking out for a dvd just to get it scratched, covered in fingerprints and jam!

24 Oct 28, 2008 at 08:43 by Anonymous

Kung Fu Panda was good.
Get Smart sucked balls, and the rest look like they do.

What’s with all the shitty movies?

25 Oct 28, 2008 at 18:12 by 123

tropic tnder is a good film

26 Oct 28, 2008 at 19:23 by keane

rubbish movies, all of them.. wats going on!!!!!!!!!!!

27 Oct 29, 2008 at 14:00 by CMG

Nice list TF – shame none of those movies score 8 or over though..

I watched a screener of Kung Fu Panda a while ago – thankfully I wasn’t the one wasting bandwidth on it.

28 Oct 31, 2008 at 20:42 by axxo is ok

Micky I think you are just jealous of axxo If you think your better, upload your own movies.
