Written by Ernesto on November 10, 2008

The top 10 most downloaded movies on BitTorrent, “Traitor” tops the chart this week followed by WALL-E and Step Brothers.

We do not link to actual torrent files because linking to files that link to files that may be copyrighted is something that might get us in trouble.

The data is collected by TorrentFreak, and is for informational and educational reference only. Currently both DVDrips, DVD Screeners and R5 rips are counted.

None of these movies are worthy of my viewing because they are not community driven cultural artifacts. They are all copyrighted and hence are destroying people, the planet and civilisation itself.

The Pirate Bay really sucks ass.

You no nothing.
Open your client to allow uploading and youll get good speeds,if you have it to leech only youll never get accepted in the swarm

5 Nov 10, 2008 at 14:19 by Diggetty Dave

No @4, you use private trackers that clamp down on hit an drunning and enforce ratios. TPB is a slow ass piece of shit no matter how fast your upload is.

All these newbies who have no idea about private trackers make me laugh. You’ll never know what it’s like to have your connection maxed out on most torrents whilst you remain clueless and use public shit trackers.

6 Nov 10, 2008 at 14:26 by Doggitty Don

..and don’t forget the huge amount crap files: fakes, low quality, nuked scene release and applications carrying malicious payloads from PPI uploaders (who feed off the general ignorance of people that use public trackers).

7 Nov 10, 2008 at 15:06 by wow

the internet is truley the home for alot of idiots..

stfu and stop complaining about free things.. if the download is slow.. WAIT. And for all you private tracker freaks, stfu, nobody cares, go use your private tracker and be done with it, you are no safer then anyone else, if you think you are, please shoot yourself.

Anyway onto the movies..

The only movies ive seen on the list was Taken and Step Brothers.. i thought both were pretty good.

8 Nov 10, 2008 at 15:13 by Deggity Denver

You STFU wow you dumb loser – private trackers are safer you clueless dumbf*ck but it’s the speed and the fact that every file is real and harmless that you morons miss out on.

Apparently you’ll put up with crappy speeds so you just … er, WAIT, but for the smart people private will deliver it 10x faster. And new releases hit faster and we can be assured of what it is – no fakes, low quality crap or malicious software which half the newbs don’t even know they have when it hits them.

You though Stepbrothers was pretty good confirming your age of 14 to us all.

I wonder how wall e tops the list… Its already very old…

yeh public sites are only good for obscure tv shows or soundtracks. even then u can find half that stuff on irc.

on topic, traitor is an awesome movie and i also recommend hotel rwanda. im fast becoming a don cheadle fanboy.

11 Nov 10, 2008 at 17:17 by anteko

wow #10 you’re just plain ignorant. “only good for obscure tv shows or soundtracks” ?? what private trackers are you using? i garuntee you that 90% of the tv shows you download come from tl sct or another popular private tracker… there isn’t anything obscure about the torrents on tl or sct fuckhead.

12 Nov 10, 2008 at 17:31 by www.eZee.se

For you guys who have not seen it… check out “Taken”, fantastic flick after a long time… coz mostly Hollywood gives you crap and more of the same crap, but this is a jewel that somehow sneaked past all the crap.

Hope that helps, and honest review from and ordinary movie goer, not some paid critic who does not know sh!t of what he is talkinga bout or knows the director so gives it a high rating.

Cheers!

@11

lmfao. i have never seen someone get so offended from such a general comment. i should have been clearer: OLD obscure tv shows. eg beast wars. find me a private tracker with any episodes of beast wars. fuckhead, god. straight for the insult, cant have a fucking discussion can we its got to be cunts like you jumping down everyones throats at the slightest difference in opinion.

14 Nov 10, 2008 at 22:00 by www.eZee.se

“cunts … jumping down everyones throats”

Now there’s a visual!
LOL!

15 Nov 10, 2008 at 22:23 by Razor

All those movies suck! None of them are any good and I don’t recommend anyone to see them.

16 Nov 10, 2008 at 23:52 by mrgtb

My guess is, the new James Bond film should be on that list right about now.

Hey everyone, regardless of what tracker you use (public or private), you still run the risk of being tracked. Anti-piracy orgs could quite possibly get an invite to a private tracker and then scrape IPs. So stop arguing with eachother.

18 Nov 11, 2008 at 01:22 by PaulB

Traitor and taken defiently worth the download time.

@razor

Wow MPAA employee there :)

20 Nov 11, 2008 at 03:44 by Aroll605

Pirate Bay is a beacon of freedom in the sea of copyright nightmare and RIAA law suits. It means that there are some people in this world who are not afraid to hide behind their IPs and even proxies to spit shit around forums and blogs and actually stand and protest.

@12 : “Hope that helps, and honest review from and ordinary movie goer, not some paid critic who does not know sh!t of what he is talkinga bout or knows the director so gives it a high rating.”

No it doens’t helpyou f*ck-arse excuse for a man. For some reason you seem extremely hungry for validation with your shitty “I think piracy is stealing b ut not filesharing”. Get over it, no gives a shit whoi you are, so why offer us your 12 year old views on what makes a good movie?

You imply that you know so much more than a paid reviewer – you deluded asshat, why aren’t you getting paid to do that then? We don’t swallow you shit that you are the authority on everything and that your opinion on what is “good” should matter to us.

You are an asshat of the worst order.

25 Nov 11, 2008 at 07:39 by Deggity Denver

Actuley my bad I was completly wrong what I said before..

Private trackers are no safer then public whatsoever.

Well I just kinda did the math in my head.. and suddenly my shit brain kicked on.. if I can get into private sites.. SURELY the anti-pirates can!

Excuse me while I go throw myself off a building because im so stupid.

(Oh and by the way im also ‘grown up’ because only kiddies watch funny movies like step brothers’

26 Nov 11, 2008 at 09:44 by Roze

The FACTS are these: none of those movies are any good, in fact they are all complete shite. This is because they weren’t made by a community driven (and actualised) organisation and because they are under copyright Any content, art piece or mjedium should be judged solely on whether it’s copyrighted or not.

Now, let’s all seek out the FREE art which isnt lining the pockets of filthy rich anti-communist pigs. By watching any of these movies you are actively killing people in poor countries – in other words you are about as evil as Adolf Hitler was. Way to kill Jews anybody that downloaded these. You’re worse if you weant and paid for it at the cinema.

for the idiot who posted before: The Pirate Bay is a commercial organisation: it’s owners make money in the same way that the capitalist fascist nazi studio do: they wont spread community driven artworks and artifacts – therefore it is a steaming oile of shit. Oh, and it’s very slow. Chew ion that for a bit before you post again!

Thought people could put whatever on TPB, community driven or not????

& what is this about slow speeds????
Never had slow speeds from TPB unless its a really old torrent…

Roze could you elaborate please?

will you two girls get a room?
youre embarassing yourselves.

you cant ‘forum fight’ your way to victory.

assclowns.

29 Nov 11, 2008 at 14:43 by Roze

@27 … you sir are a liar of the first order or you have dialup internet.

what’s to elabortae on – it’s just SLOW, SLOW and SLOW all the way. It’s ridden with fake files, PPI spyware and low quality crap. To make things worse many users restrict their uplaod speed, stop seeding as soon as they finish which leads to many more peers than seed which makes most downloads SLOW.

Compare this to private trackers where ratios are enforced, uploaders can only apply if they have very high up speed (usually seedboxes, other users have seedboxes (at some a seedbox is “required” else you take ages to upload), all content is non-fake and there is no malicious apps bundled.

You dumb newb asshat, make the jump and you won’t regret it. The Pirate Bay is a slow, crappy tracker that eats dogs balls. You and your ilk who use it are clueless, dumb sh*theads and you deserve to be there if you lie about getting great speeds.

Did I mention your an asshat?

and if you disagree with me, then you are worse than Hitler!

32 Nov 11, 2008 at 18:10 by torrentleech/iptorrents

no TPB is rubbish, al public sites are rubbish, switch to private now and you wont be disappointed!!!!!

33 Nov 11, 2008 at 20:41 by skinhead

“By watching any of these movies you are actively killing people in poor countries – in other words you are about as evil as Adolf Hitler was. Way to kill Jews anybody that downloaded these.”

wow i’ve killed a lot of poor ppl and jews lately!! i’m going to have to shave my head ha ha

“usually seedboxes, other users have seedboxes (at some a seedbox is “required” else you take ages to upload)”

great!! now all i need is to pay loads of fking money for a seedbox to download free shit!! fck that

34 Nov 11, 2008 at 22:12 by Bob

Public trackers are alright – they’re slower but I’ve found many things there that were not on any private trackers.

What annoys me the most? The people that download without seeding back. Private or public – I always seed torrents back to AT LEAST 1:1, and if everyone was considerate enough to do that, torrent speeds would be a lot faster for everyone.

35 Nov 12, 2008 at 04:37 by ???????

Roped that poor sucker into it…

Poor sucker must really have it in for TPB & must not be intelligent enough to sift through the malware like the rest of us so it doesnt infect his computer or brain.

If this donkey has membership @ private tracker i pity the fool that gave him the invite

38 Nov 12, 2008 at 15:35 by Er, Ok clueless

@36 : In all seriousness apparently you don’t get the sophistication of modern PPI software – or rather the way it’s bundled.

There are several solutions that these people – the ones that upload this crap – use to bundle *.exe’s together taht you can buy that create fully undetectable payloads – the spyware that is attached to an app – that all virus scanners cannot pick up, even at runtime.

Eg. Redemptions Binder v2 & Lulz Cryptor – then there are custom apps used by very few experts PPI uploaders as well that they code themselves. They encrypt files using a unique key every time so it’s impossible to detect. Because the PPI exe is changed every day – unique to every user that bundles PPi as well – virus scanners often have no chance against them. They can be a pain in the ass to remove and sometimes cannot be.

“be intelligent enough to sift through the malware like the rest of us so it doesnt infect his computer”

What – are you a frikkin moron – do you think that you or anyone else can spot these expert’s uploads, they aren’t amatuers. Newbies at uploading PPI will label stuff “#1 this” and “best that” but the pros (and there are a large number) will make torrent descriptions that are perfectly legitimate looking, using fully undetectable exe’s so no one can comment because no one realises – for a long time if at all. Once the average public tracker user identifies they have a PPI malware infection they cannot identify the torrent because it’s encrypted using a unique key – no two bundles are the same. PPI malware uploaders are making lotsa monet off public trackers.

The whole point is why expose yourself to this risk – as well as fakes, low quality and slow download speeds.

@38 ahahahahahahhahhahaahhahaha
your a fool & thanks for confirming, if you cant detect malware thats your problem, go cry about your bundled, encrypted executable’s some where else like a private tracker. This is 10 most pirated movies blog not lets whine about the pirate bay blog.

40 Nov 14, 2008 at 05:09 by NonOfMyConcern

As far as I know. Copyright & internet does not co-exist.I love BT and specifically movies. If a movie is good and ss worth seeing I will definitely watched it in the cinemas or buy a DVD. There are lots of shit out there thats really not worth buying a ticket to see or simply a rip off. Stop this pirate right infringement BS and create something people will literally feel a need or passion to buy a copy as a collection.

To all who those, talk negative about TPB, you are wrong and you can suck MY ass.
