2012… after a long time a movie worth watching in the cinema, still a bit too “hollywoody” at times (I downloaded it) it does have a decent story and kick ass effects.

Here’s one pirate who will be heading to the cinema after a looong time.

I think i’m going to have a little fun with the staff as well, i’ll pretend im recording a clip on my cellphone… ;)

2012 is an epic movie. I actually go to the cinema all the time, and pay way over the odds for a fairly shitty cinema.

I’ve seen 7 of the movies up there at the cinema. I don’t think it’s entirely amoral for me to go on ahead and download them now.

I saw both 2012 and Zombieland in the cinema. 2012 was terrible, but worked because it was on a big screen.
Zombieland was amazing, and I can’t wait for the DVD release :)

Watched 2012 with my family last week and although the special effects were a bit ott it was still a great movie. Look foreward to the dvd release.

Just reading the synopsis for 2012 made me utterly uninterested in it, given all of the horrible inconsistencies and basic idiocy of the whole thing. What can you expect from a movie based on the ignorant 2012 bullshit in the first place? I won’t even pirate it, it’s so bad.

Zombieland was definitely great fun.

I’ll probably take a look at Gamer, being a gamer myself and somewhat interested in how they manage the plot.

Surrogates was, like 2012, pretty ridiculously inconsistent and stupid in its synopsis and premise. I might watch it, but I’ll be ready to abandon it if things are looking too stupid, and I suspect they will be.

The term “pirated” is not exclusive to counterfeits. In fact, there’s an actual word for that kind of activity, and it’s “counterfeiting”. While pirated counterfeits (also known as bootlegs) are duplicates but with the appropriate material, don’t think that hijacks the entire term “pirate”. Note that I pointed out the ACTUAL terms involved with what you’re mentioning.

Isn’t it funny how many torrent folk have gone to see 2012! Most if not all also say its worth going to the cinema to see the effects too. I have to say that’s my thinking too, although I haven’t made it there yet I do intend to spend some money and go with the Mrs. I too generally don’t see the point in paying for sh**y films, or paying for something that’s meant to be good, to find out it isn’t and have no way to get some or all my money back so I stay away from the cinema.

If Hollywood would pause for one moment and think about why their profits are down; its not people who download movies, its crass and crappy productions that adults refuse to pay to see. If they could stop all downloads, people wouldn’t flock to the cinema, they’d just save their money for what they’re confident they like. So the conclusion being when/if the MPAA & Mandleson etc get their way in whichever country, their profits won’t go up, simply because their films won’t have got any better.

So if you’re paying attention Hollywood, stop as many downloaders as you like, we still won’t pay for your crappy films. They’re not worth the money.

I am not the one you originally refer to. But I HAVE been in earthquakes, one of which was in Mexico City in 1985, (~40,000 dead)… and I still think 2012 is too Hollywood.

Have seen all of these, from the comments posted here it sounds like I need to check out 2012!

2 Gamer – Decent action flick, I liked it

3 Funny People – Was alright, was expecting something funnier, this movie actually has a serious side that isnt so funny.

4 Inglourious Basterds – Great movie, I enjoyed the hell out of it. I just wish it wasnt in french and german through most of it.

5 Zombieland – Pretty funny,not a work of art or anything, but entertaining.

6 The Hangover – Not bad…Not great, but not bad.

7 Pandorum – Good Sci-fi, a little slow in some parts, but definitely worth the watch for any fans of SciFi

8 Surrogates – It was an “Ok” movie, once was definitely enough…

I really doubt I’ll be watching “Ninja” or “Saw” (least of all – “Saw”) but 2012 is definitely on the list…

I really liked “Inglorious Basterds” which I downloaded, I won’t go to theaters as I’m a misanthrope, is there anywhere I can just “click” to pay you directly for this movie. I refuse to buy the DVD as I don’t support the twisted, corrupt, MAFIAA.

Funny People has some good laughs but they are far apart.. the MOVIE IS LONG! It seemed like ages to me..

Inglourious Basterds is the best of these films.. but there are some winners in there.

Well I can say that most if not all of these movies are available streaming but it doesn’t cost money to watch.. The sites generate revenue from ads just like any other site. If the cartel would have gotten its head out of its arse, it could of had the same method but use the free services to host the material & ads to make money.

Inglorious bastards was an incredibly original film. Loved every minute of it! How come no one else has ever made a ‘ WW 2 alternate reality revenge against the nazis’ film?

Funny People wasn’t funny, although I don’t think it was meant to be – it was ok as a drama, not a comedy.

Zombieland was unexpected. The trailers looked awful, but the movie was witty, funny and cool.

The Hangover had some good laughs. The guy with the beard made the movie.

Surrogates was bad. I read the comics/graphic novels before watching the movie, they should have stuck to the novels story, would have at least been ok.

I’m sorry but anyone that gets their panties in a twist over 2012 is an idiot. That film was terrible. The only thing it had going for it was the special effects. The story as a whole was god awful and after I saw it, I knew the general public would eat this crap up. I’m sorry, but if you loved 2012 and truly thought it was a good film with a good story line, then you are not very intelligent.
