The top 10 most downloaded movies on BitTorrent, ‘2012′ tops the chart again this week followed by ‘Planet 51’. ‘The Bad Lieutenant’ completes the top three.

2012This week there are four newcomers in the top 10. 2012 is the most downloaded movie on BitTorrent for the second week in a row.

The data for our weekly download chart is collected by TorrentFreak, and is for informational and educational reference only. All the movies in the list are DVDrips unless stated otherwise.

    actually, the twilight crap has risen to a mighty 4.6 on IMDB, as though it matters. I refuse to watch it.

    Look at the quality of the films on that list. It is sad. It is also nearly 1:1 a list the major recent Hollywood releases. The industry is making Record Profits and their shite is topping lists of both downloaded and purchased content alike. I feel that the true power of free distribution, namely to democratize the entertainment industry, has thus far has been sadly underutilized by these dinosaurs. I guess that job is left to us pirates. Power to the People!

    It’s a good thing at least that people aren’t paying for this stuff, so it’s fine by me if people want to watch crap, as long as they’re not paying to watch it and feeding these assholes.

    2012 was okay….ish! the plot was a little bit iffy, but the effects were pretty sweet.
    Surrogates was interesting, not amazing, but it made you think =)
    I got round to watching Inglorious Basterds last week, and i thought it was really good! Ive got a ‘thing’ for watching nazi’s die tho =P
    havent seen any of the others, but i think ill give Planet 51 a watch =)

    Law abiding citizen and the box were cool… The box could have been better, got a little wierd/stupid with the storyline but still worth a free DL!…

    Surrogates has been in the list before, I guess it was an R5 at the time?… I dunno, but I didnt like it enough to DL the RiP, so there ya go…

    And 2012 is worse than crap, it’s what crap becomes after it’s been sitting in the rain for three days = not worth the free DL…

    Reading all the comments, it sounds like people are sick of the same hollywood garbage. We hope we can be on this list for 2010. We are releasing our independent comedy, Self Helpless for a 7 day bittorrent-only run early next year. I hope people will check us out. Obviously there are a lot of movie fans who check out torrentfreak.

    The Bad Lieutenant was pretty crap imho, but that just me :) Everyone has different tastes so let them watch wat ever the fuk they want.

    2012 is popular because its allegedly when the world is gonna end, and thus probably peaked alot of peoples attention on that fact alone.. u tekk everyone the worlkd is gonna end (even though it prob wnt) im sure theyd go out n watch it and se what crap everyone is on about

    It has great special effects as expected and it’s an ok film with regards to the storyline but it’s not one of those movies you want to watch again, again and again! Good entertainment!

    Degrassi/Party of 5/Dawson’s Creek/My So-Called Life/Felicity rolled in to one big bag of $500,000,000.00 (1/2 Billion Dollar) sh*t! Yes Virginia this just proves that Government schooled Gen XY&Z will buy anything! 45 minutes into the movie I was hoping one of the highly promo’d CGI Vamps or Wolves would jump from the screen and twist my head off and sh+t down my neck while Jigsaw/John pulled my spine out of my ass very slowly so I would get the same tingling thrill Chris Matthews felt when President Obama was Inaugurated only then would this movie may been worth the it. Battlefield Earth: A Saga of the Year 3000 was a Rembrandt next to this John Wayne Gacy “Let’s Clown the audience” movie
