Of cause there was no “lost sale”, the producers shot them selves in the foot by not giving him a reason to buy it. It is their own fault. There was no to be expected unless they think their customers are idiots.
Just copying it and delivering it on DVD or in the Cinema to him is not worth money today. The internet copies it and delivers it for free. So their product have no value any more.
Find new value or die. That is the best part of capitalism.
