    Buckets of CGI and a little bit of acting, it should be the other way round darlings.

    Liked “Sherlock Holmes” sequel a lot, actually I found it to be great, better than the first part, great acting.

       I don’t think you’re the only one, the critics have been hammering it and hardly anyone has went to see it in the cinema. I’m sure Disney will put it down to piracy, it’s not hard to make the leap from “Most pirated film” to “biggest flop” and see a correlation, no matter how absurd it might me. Still, I think it’s clear that people are pirating it so much because of how bad it’s meant to be.

    I liked John Carter myself, but then I’ve always liked the source material, it helped me to even be a fan of the SyFy produced one.
    But Journey can be skipped once you’ve seen the “Pec Pop of Love” on youtube, its the movies main highlight, and a skill everyman should learn.

    mysterious island a 6 out of ten why a 6 you say……cause they spent so little time ON the island they should have explored and made it a two part movie if they had not enough time, but the rocks a good singer and the visuals are there.

    ive seen the avengers and it ws fun to watch 8 out of ten 
    WOW 3 movies for a change i actually didnt mind watching …..3 in the last year …sad ….

    Thankfully “The Avengers” is out in Telesync and a very nice copy also. This is the best you are likely to see until a DVD copy gets ripped. So they managed to put all those movie characters together and they made it work. I am only thankful like so many they did a good job with The Hulk until they did with the first movie.

    “Journey 2: The Mysterious Island” is a worthy family movie with a good story and good acting. The small Elephants made me laugh and I now so have to watch the 3rd movie when it comes out.

    Well that is enough for this week.

    Most of these movies are terrible for adults. For you dumb kids/teenagers sure…

    Sherlock Homes 2 is a bit above decent only. Rest are typical Hollywood fast paced/cgi/retard humor/syrup flicks.

    In other news Fincher hasn’t pulled a decent movie lately, and Cameron will be making millions with his Avatar franchise.

    John Carter on Mars is by no means a lame film. However, the special effects, although well done are a bit disconcerting.  Besides the obvious over reliance on effects instead of character, the sounds and images recall the fourth Star Wars film on the deserts of Tatooine. You can’t help think some star wars figure was going to pop out or some Podracer to fly through the screen. Another annoyance is the accents of some characters. I understood John Carter’s accent but the guy from the Wire using British accent? Why?
