The top 10 most downloaded movies on BitTorrent, ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ tops the chart this week, followed by ‘Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter’. ‘The Campaign’ completes the top three.

This week there are four newcomers in our chart.

The Amazing Spider-Man is the most downloaded movie.

The data for our weekly download chart is collected by TorrentFreak, and is for informational and educational reference only. All the movies in the list are BD/DVDrips unless stated otherwise.

      Let us recall after the last The Expendables movie they sued many of the downloaders rather unsuccessfully. So if you happen to download this sequel seed until they bleed and weep.

      I don’t have much time for such movies what with their bullets everywhere and comparing penis sizes but I may see it one day just to see how bad this sequel happens to be.

        First time I saw the trailer for Expendables 2 I thought it was a spoof ad, shocked was I to learn the movie was real.

        No way I’ll be spending hard cash on seeing this crap, i wouldn’t even waste my unlimited bandwidth on sharing it either.

        Pretty much sums up the bullshit of hollywood.

          It was actually good, it understood that it was silly and embraced it. If you can see that then you are able to enjoy the movie.

        I regretted saying that as soon i sent the message. Yeah f**k the top ten tv shows also, most the good ones only come out for 22 weeks for the year so the rest of the year would be crap.. I want something new though. Top ten Movies is boring. It doesn’t show any of the good films, just the top downloaded which are mainly crap.

      umh demonoid had the greatest section there, i hope someone somewhere boots it up again. i think you can even find articles on how the new japanese piracy law will cause damage to anime studios because they get less promotion.
      Why arent the revenues and most sold / box office tickets etc. not inthere i’m pretty sure the pattern would become visible

          Yes, most of the time, I didn’t find any interesting stuff related to Anime on Demonoid.
          Sometimes there was Region 1 DVDs or their rips, but who wants that?
          That’s the last resort, when you can’t find a better source.

      Yeah, you can be sure there are people here who read manga, watch anime/doramas and hear wonderful Japanese music in different genres and styles.

      This Top Ten lists just reflect what most people around the internet just want to watch for some hours and forget it later, that, after they watched many promotions and TV shows about them.

      Well, Hollywood and its marketing work very well, just look at that list again.

      In this case the anti-pirates are right: the downloads will reduce the number of sales – they’ll spend their DVD money on something worth watching.

      I disagree, this reboot is much better than the Maguire movies
      still, it wasn’t great, merely good
      it’s hard in a year with such excellent comic movies (Avengers, Dark Knight Rises)

      There were problems with the script… but Andrew Garfield was awesome as Spiderman!

        I saw it in the theater for free and have to agree with you about the script. As for Garfield, some moments were good, but at other times he came across as either mentally handicapped or extremely shy (sometimes both lol). He nailed Spiderman early on in the movie though, especially his wisecracking, back talking teenagerness. If his acting could have been more consistent throughout the entire movie, then I’d agree more with you that he was awesome, even though I was certain he’d been a terrible pick based on the trailers I’d seen. I also feel the CG wasn’t very well done for The Lizard either. I can see what they were going for and if they had pulled it off, it would have been much more like the comic book version of Spiderman than the Toby Maguire ones were. It’s a shame they fell a bit short of that goal. Still worth watching if you’re a fan though.

    Perhaps, a new category, “Top 15 Indie movies – last 3 months.”

    Would reflect less on “latest”; but, the term would probably scoop up a nice rolling sample of idiosyncratic, imaginative, interesting, perhaps even entertaining, film fare.

    Of course, you’ld risk a zinger. You know; like the one by that French Director who hooks up with a serial killer who looks like a skinny pharmacist with an obsessive compulsive talking disorder; and, films
    and interviews this rather intelligent and morally coherent fellow as he goes about the daily trivia of killing people and discussing life and death in work-a-day Modern France.

    I mean, God forbid you’re bored by life in extreme states…….

    Yet, whether True or Faux…… you’ve got to look hard in dark and unlikely places to come up with a vision to compare with the last 120 seconds of Mean Streets.

      Avengers was slowly sinking down the list for weeks.

      Also it was a good film that lots of people saw at the cinema. Piracy lists favor the more mediocre releases where people might have missed it, or be unsure whether it’s worth the money to buy.

    I have to agree to what many are saying that most of the top ten movies are not really good.

    Notice something.. lots of these movies tend to be older (release date-wise) so, that means downloaders are looking for quality vs quickly.. if both should come along, then great.. but many seem willing to wait for better copies to float out there. Usually video and audio are 6/10 or better if a screener/cam.
