Anyone else noticing the rather high amount DVDScreeners appearing in the Torrent-sphere? It just seems they are more out than usual.

I think I just finished up 4-5 Screener copies of new movies this week.

INB4 “Zero Dark Thirty” wins everything.

They have to fabricate “torture is working, see, it got Bin Laden” somehow.

    • Tixati Fan

some people just cant wait for the movie to be out on dvd. I usually don’t bother with screeners. I want quality when I bother to watch something.
I haven’t seen any of these movies, and i’m wondering if I should. I’ll probably stick to my non-hollywood stuff, that way ‘The Man’ can’t come after me.

      • Guest

You like quality and you go for dvd? If you want quality do like i do and go for 720p bluay releases, I would go for full bluray but i neither have the computer nor disk space for those.

        • My_Shoes

720p? Nah, give me BDrip 1080p
and I don’t care about Hollywood movies too.

    • Disgruntled

A lot of them are probably people trying to watch movies that have delayed released. Django Unchained isn’t out until the 18th of Jan in Aus…

It’s the run-up to Oscar season, so all the studios will be sending out their big movies For Your Consideration.

    I LOVE Oscar Season!

  • Tixati User

Boy am I out of the loop, I’ve only heard of 2 of these movies. and will see none of them. hollywood movies don’t usually do it for me.

Hollywood movies don’t usually do it for me either. I like looking around VODO to see what’s new there.

If you don’t like Hollywood movies, why are you even reading this article? Every top 10 most pirated movies -article is full of Hollywood movies.

I couldn’t agree more…All Hollywood does most of the time is rehash movies from when I was younger…Red Dawn was garbage and the remake of the Karate Kid with Jayden Smith was actually just okay….Not Great!!

  • Hzwlbugr

The “Django” screener was f’in awesome.
    Totally recommended… by me!

  • utuxia

Oscars are in Feb, so they send out DVDScreeners to people voting, even if the movie is still in the theaters in December 2012.

ZD30 is really boring, except the last 20 minutes, which is 90% dark.

  • No Animal Cruelty

i was considering seeing the hobbit until I read that a bunch of animals died during the filming just because of lack of care. My dollars or internet bandwidth wont contribute knowingly to animal cruelty. The rest of these movies i can take or leave, mostly leave.

    • chris_p_bacon(R.O.L.L)

i took a log time deliberating how to say the following but nothing would do other than….do you eat berries and grass then?

      • No Animal Cruelty

        #1 I’m a vegetarian.
#2 unless you are an idiot you know that there is a big difference between killing an animal to eat and just killing it for fun, or letting it die out of laziness.

        • Animal eater (Omn yum)

What about dying from neglect ?

You are neglecting this* animals need for comments to give a fuck about.
I am dying over here from boredom.

          Pony falls down hole
Horse dies of natural causes in stable

Those monsters who made the film are pure evil……Says the vegetarian.
I feel ZERO outrage……Says me while eating a chicken and pig sandwich.
If it was cruel treatment or neglect I would care.

“i took a log time deliberating how to say the following but nothing would do other than….do you eat berries and grass then?”

It took you a lot of time to say something ignorant?
Good, at least, you will have learnt people also don’t eat meat
and don’t want to be an arrogant fat kid just like Animal Eater
(Omn yum? That means he uses to drool while eating).
You deserve one applause, only one.

  • chris_p_bacon(R.O.L.L)

skyfall is the biggest load of bullshit i have ever witnessed. absolutely no particular direction, no meaning and no demanding content. i am ashamed to have paid the cinema price and i think imdb should start enabling a – rating when you log in, because -10 would be about it. crap crap crap. milked too much and ruined in the process. rip bond. this parrot is definitely……dead, popped it’s clog’s,

Am I just getting old or are movies really just getting redundant and stupified? I’ve noticed the dumbing down of the movies and they really must appeal to simpletons these days.

    • Guest

Probably both. I’m retired now and put in close to 50 years in the movie business as a projectionist, tv film editor and theater manager. I’ve seen an average of one movie per day since I was 14 years old. Literally. I’ve found that after the 10,000th movie all but the most unusual story has become somewhat predictable. When one realises what the unavoidable outcome of a story segment will be, boredom ensues. When the entire story is predictible it’s difficult to sit through the film. Further, I believe that mushrooming budgets demand that film makers stick to tried and true story lines a great deal of the time. Films are aimed at teens and young adults who have not seen the number of shows you and I have seen. All this is new and exciting to the intended audience but old and busted to us. Your first circus is magic. Your 100th circus is boring. Special effects, sound, and production values are all beter than ever before. But if the story is just more of the same old stuff that you watched ten years ago it is difficult to see even the highest rated stories through to the end.

    • POKE a TWEET 4 a UPVOTE

TV stuff is better. (not actual TV which is 99% shit broadcast)
Documentaries are awesome. (not the American trashy docs)
      Educational talks, video courses etc…
      Online news and opinion shows.
Blogs. Youtube. Twitter feeds linking to blogs.
      Games….etc
      Comment sections on blogs….etc

All, time better spent than watching a movie.

Best time of the year. Also Django was a let down.

Zero dark thirty was amazing, whether that’s the real story is anyone’s guess but it was a phenomenal film.

(2018) Torture used for people suspected of being gay while alive.

    • xpmule

natgeo recently did a story on this too but i didn’t bother with it..

i think i might watch this movie but i already heard the story mostly.

i find it offensive americans would sneak into Pakistan illegaly and murder someone with out trial but i they did it that way so the story wouldn’t be told in trial.. the parts i bet are missing from the movie..
such as America have been hunting him specificly LOOOOOOOOOONG before 911 !
as far back as Bill Clinton was in office an ordered missile strikes on a camp he was suppose to be at according to military intel / torture etc and they missed him but killed a lot of people including many of Bin Laden’s family members.. all LONG before 911
So yeah of course he was mad and wanted revenge but how many Americans have the faintest clue about any of that long long story of Bin Laden other than the lie that Bin Laden randomly attacked america unprovoked on 911 for no other reason than he is evil ?

America thinks they own the world and can barge into any country and kill people etc. how is this acceptable ?

He should have gotten a fair trial like murders, rapists, pedophiles and cannibals.. why would all those people get a trial and this guy gets a bullet and dumped into the ocean *supposedly.
Lets not forget Obama stated that this was an assassination mission before he ordered the go ahead.. there was never any intention on taking him or anyone alive.. it was an illegal sneak in under radar and kill everyone and run mission !

      Hoor raaah lol

I am glad i’m not American.. my Govt. is bad but not THAT bad !

At least there are no below 6.0 IMDB ratings crapfests in this month list.

It just annoying to see five 5.x rated filmed “brainfarts” when there is something with so much more quality lying around to watch instead.
