Top 10 Most Pirated TV Shows on BitTorrent (wk28)
Written by Ernesto on July 15, 2008TV shows are by far the most wanted files via BitTorrent, and according to some, it’s fast becoming the modern day TiVo. But what are all those people downloading?
The data is collected by TorrentFreak from a representative sample of BitTorrent sites and is for informational and educational reference only.
At the end of the year we will publish a list of most downloaded TV-shows for the entire year, like we did last December.
TV-shows such as “Lost” and “Heroes” can get up to 10 million downloads per episode, in only a week.

SGA / SG-1 are one of the few decent sci-fi serials left, anyone know of any other good ones? (most of us dont watch TV, only what we download so kindly excuse if we dont know the new stuff)

What a boring week …
5 years ago we had episodes of series such as Angel, Buffy, Charmed, Alias, 24, Stargate, Firefly, Andromeda, …
sometimes all that in ONE week.
And now look at that poor excuse !

I think due to that whole strike business with the writers has caused Tv execs to just throw together shows that are relativly basic and just generally crap.
Man I miss the 4400, that should of never got cancelled.
No surprise with Top Gear. Last Sunday’s episode was truly epic.

The writers don’t seem to understand that good Sci Fi Shows DO HAVE A FOLLOWING!!! They’ve canceled so many good shows; Firefly, Moonlight, Bionic Woman, Jerico, Dresden Files, without the chance of them coming back. Some shows are just worth keeping a little longer. But hey, torrent a missed a show is down right smart! Getting tired of hearing the Tivo sounds effect, and seeing the Demo, and the theater spotlights. it’s enough to kill yourself.. several times.

Tru Calling was another amazing one that they canceled for pretty much no reason. And it was canceled *one episode away* from when the overarching series storyline would have started – and, really, it was the most unique storyline I’ve ever heard of!
@9: Duh. It’s pretty obvious what people want: LESS REALITY SHOWS. They just don’t want to pay actors anymore.

They seem to cancel so many shows. It’s at a point where you shouldn’t start watching a show when it comes out because it will just end up pointless in the end when they cancel it.
I’ve never even heard of Bonekickers before! And no wonder…I did some checking and it appears to be a CSI: Indiana Jones type thing.
Too bad Jericho isn’t on the list. There’s still quite a few of us that are hoping that ABC will, for the second time, uncancel this show! If you like LOST you’ll like Jericho.
Good shows like Jericho and the 4400 have to die so everyone will watch those dance/singing/fake love/etc reality shows…
At least American Idol isn’t on the list.

NO reality shows belong on this list. Weeds is a very good show this weeks ep layed down some interesting plot elements, it was getting somewhat tired for a while there. I watched a SGA ep for the first time this week, i actually liked it and i’m not big on sci-fi.

I am so hating the Sci-Fi Channel. They are making money of bloody re-runs of shows which were a hit. Instead of killing of crap shows like flash-gordon or “Who wants to be a superhero” They cancelled One of the best, if not the best Sci-Fi show in the world which created a cult(SG-1). SG1 was so f@cking good. They are most likely going to cancel SGA as well even though its awesome. I wish that they would allow other networks to buy the SG1 franchise. Don’t know wtf they are keeping restraining it from being purchased by anyone else.
I loved Top Gear. It deserves to be at the top of the list. Its quality over quantity. That’s what makes such a fing good show

To all those saying “there are no good shows here, TV sucks”: IT’S SUMMER. The best shows are on in the traditional TV season, September/October to June and Mid-Season January to June.
So if you still want to rant then, fine, but now is the wrong time.
