Here’s one question to a problem!!!. My college has somehow blocked torrent downloads. not the p2p bcoz skype works perfectly.
1. has not blocked downloads of torrent files, nor the sites.
2.peer list not shown.no peer connected.
3.gateway server is red hat enterprise linux. v.4
4.squid installed as proxy server.
5.trackers works fine. shows peer.
6.can download files on http connection
7. Alternatives used: torrelay.com works fine. but ssh like freedom works but can’t facilitate torrent downloads.
8.tried with other port numbers of client softwares. different client softwares used. wyzo, bitlet neither works.
9.dth:waiting to announce…….shows different at different settings.
10.torrelay works perfectly but not willing to shell out so much of my pocket money.
anyone having a perfect knowledge of the situation plz reply me.
I wish I could download Stasia IRL.

11. used utorrent .establish connection with peers as seen in tcpview:sync sent.
12.sometimes error shown at one setting: cannot connect in more than one node.
13.always shows 0(45 etc.)seeds or peers connected.
14.dns used: institute’s as well as opendns.
15.it maybe using satellite internet connection.
16.gateway server decides my ip owned by the college. m not under a proxy server.
I Have been searching a solution for one year. Torrelay is a relief but can’t shell out money anymore.

Enable Protocol header encryption and use port 80.

17.regarding trackers: http works fine but udp trackers are shown as invalid url. it happens always at all settings.

My guest will be that your college has a CISCO or a SONICWALL Hardware firewall, that is a standard stuff on most every school/college, an they are pretty effective against downloading or P2P.
This doesnt tell us anything NEW, it just has somebody read us the articles we have already read, almost word for word.

Btw. P2P is not the same as Skype, this what’s is different is the inbound traffic that gets blocked by the firewall.
by the P2P traffic there are many users that are connecting to your client (PC), but by the Skype you got max. 1-4 and by accepting a call in skype you are actually making a connection whit the incoming caller/traffic request.
Nice work, another great TF-TV episode. I love the new format for the show, and this is a great way to get all the news that I’ve missed. Loving it :D

Did it air on Sunday – I dunno, I’m not in USA.
No need for an investigative piece if it did though: what happened is that no one from the scene capped it basically. Almost all TV caps come from the scene – it may have been capped by a non-scene user and uploaded somewhere as some trackers have their own cappers, particuarly for HD encodes.
If not, well, you may have to wait for the DVD rips.
Re: Breaking Bad s2e09: there’s a lowish quality torrent uploaded at Demonoid, ripped from some web site. Apparently has sync issues and is low quality: 241MB
Funnay how so many clueless noobs at this site spout off about how “elitist” and screwed up the scene is when almost all content comes from the scene isn’t it? LOL!

Still don’t get it why VTV and or EZTV didn’t upload.. but there you have it.
For the record: I ain’t no clueless n00b and I have never complained about the so-called “Elitist scene”, screwed up or not.
