My Suggestions:
1: Need TorrentFreak Logo on Video just like news channels. Launch a Logo Design Contest.
2: Put a LCD Screen behind her just like news channels. You can just make a Model LCD with Green screen and replace green by FX and NEWS Clips.
3: I like the background. Let it be there.
4: Host is a good news reader. Don’t fire her :)
5: We need some better FX. You can always find someone from your 80K readers.
Now, this is getting interesting, that interview with Peter Sunde was something that wasn’t written on torrentfreak before. Still, Ashley seems to be “overpronouncing” words and sentences once again…
@5 San…: She’s not that hot … not ugly and I owuldn’t knock her back for a root. Or maybe I’m just not 14 and really overy excited enough to start writing “Hot Torrent Chick” and then running off to my bedroom to masturbate after Mum finishes cleaning it.
Guys probably a virgin. Needless to say he would have no chance with this chick – he’d be overly clingy and needy in a very, very nice sort of way – as in he’d be agreeing with everything she said, not calling her on anything if she tried to be fun and flirty and doing everything that she wanted to… pleasant but deathly boring in the way that nervous and very inexperienced young men are. She’d probably find him very friendly but the thought of doing anything with him would turn her off.
Sorry San, I just think that’s the way it is.

She seriously needs to put those papers down on the desk – it makes her look very uncomfortable. She’s started to speaka lot better and the flow is far more natural and unforced – I wouldn’t call it “over-pronounced”.
Oh, and she forgot to say “TPB sux”, LOL ;)

Good job, Ashley is more relaxed. That´s way better.
But you´re giving way too much work for her… I mean now the whole show depends on her and you´re really not helping her on anyway. Just staring all the time to one camera is not what i would call good editing…
It would make anyone look like a complete psycho.
There´s no structure, rhythm or dynamics on the whole show.
But i kinda liked it :).
ps. That background loop playing at the same volume all the time without variations is a bad idea.

1st:
Lose the papers, there is no point in having them if you aren’t even using them, they just look silly.
2nd:
Standing up while talking is something you should go back to, as it makes it look more lively.
3rd:
Loose that annoying background music! If you need to have music, at least make it less distracting.
While you’ve beat the news media in the effective use of widescreen video. (Actually using it instead of the “were in WS isn’t that cool”). And also beat them soundly in the quality of “on the phone” audio.
Better and better you get. Ashly seemed fine this week, now to work on some graphics, and mabey a non-black background.
1) If you aren’t going to edit more footage related to the ACTUAL news events being broadcast a standing up, more informal format would be better. He sitting down makes this too static and puts too much emphasis on her facial expression and draws attention to specific things in her speech. Have her standing up in a more informal way. NO PAPER!
2) Especially be clear to make points more concise. If only such a small amount of footage is being used. More emphasis on SHOWING, rather than TELLING as the telling is done better in text. The strength of video is that you can show someone in real time.
oh and kill the music for most of the broadcast. Its fine at the start and end but don’t loop it.
Probably would be cool if the show focused more on being like a quick 5min, 2min or whatever summary of the weeks torrent news with some added supporting footage, rather than such an exhaustive recap.
^ Though that is assuming you can’t get enough footage together and shift focus away from the reader and onto SHOWING the story.
interview with sunde was a great addition. Was done very well and the actual voice being used was a good idea with the footage of TPB in the background.

You tyheonion spends 100K , ROFL… seriously, with modern technology this vodcast could be made a lot better looking very easily, you guys at TF just have to learn a few techniques or find someone who does.

That’s better hot torrent chick, you still has some way to go but you are defiantly getting much more fluent and natural.
(It’s hard to relax in front of the camera, I know. You cannot even picture the audience naked…)
Some more advanced technical stuff you can address now but the major issues in episode one are all fixed (good job).
First of, the colour scheme: It’s awkward, basically. On the site you use tones of grey broken of by a saturated magenta. It’s not spectacular but clean and quite nice. I imagine that the sleeved sweater is an attempt to emulate the feel of the site while getting rid of the keying problems you had with your tattoos, killing 2 birds with one stone. The problem is that it’s a to washed out colour to break of the grey properly. Sloncek, either you need to go in there with whatever editing application you use and crank up the saturation of the shirt or you need to find the lady some new clothes. :)
Optionally and this is what i recommend, is that you add another break of element within the scene, a appropriately coloured border around the photos, some kind of bar displaying names, Torrentfreak TV logo or something similar. Just to break it of more from the grey, grey, grey. Also a more vibrant sweater (and why isn’t she wearing a torrentfreak t-shirt?).
in any case problem 2, depth perception: There is a problem with this shot and that is that you get absolutely no feel for the depth! Even Super Mario Bros to the NES had that stuff in the background to give you a sense of perspective. This is a problem because it makes the viewer somewhat uncomfortable. It’s just human nature, we don’t like when things are out of place. Now using a studio is most likely out of the question? Faking it using gradients over the background would probably ruin the background, so what you can do is to put something in front of her that extends further towards the camera, like a table. another option if you are feeling technically advanced is to set the lights to cast a shadow on the chroma keying background and extract that colour to a mask you make to a shadow layer and then ad over the final background. This is a little tricky to set up tough depending on which software you use. Both autodesk combustion and after effects can handle it as well as nuke, shake, fusion, houdini etc. I Dont know if final cut, sony vegas or adobe premiere has toolsets for it.
Third thing as said are the papers, we dont like stuff that’s out of place! Why does she hold papers she never reads of? Arrrgh these petty details!
