I have to admit the show has improved since the last episode. One suggestion, loose the stacy character, its really stupid, I almost wanted to turn it off.
The anchor is really not my type, but still intersting!

She did alot better this time. She seemed far more natural. Which I genuinely liked. She pronounces stuff much better and clearer than the previous hostess.
Overall, probably one of the better episodes of TF TV since inception.

This is a great show I love the information and hearing about pirate culture. But yeah, Stacia needs some work. She does seem to be getting better, but she really just can’t read well. And if the Stacy character is going to be playing a sexed up dumb girl role, then you should bring in a hot chick in a bikini or something. The dumb sexy girl in weird ugly clothes is just too confusing, I don’t know what to make of it. Are you going for sex appeal or revulsion?
I really liked this torrent freak episode! The comedy,graphics,and even fashion included in the video,in the next episode i would like to see a survey done on the streets if people use torrent encryption and if they would like to use a vpn (hopefully the new the pirate bay service).In hopes anyone reades this…

Two Words – Much Improved.
You don’t waste the space, or the time you are in front of the camera, you move off on on the set like like you have a purpose, and you don’t over use your hands while talking, that is a huge plus.
I think just the audio needs some improvement, and the content isn’t very interesting to me, but im sure that will improve in the future.
Good comedy moments as well.
I think the rest of the Stacy criticism’s are player haters at this point.
A definite improvement, Stacy looks and sounds much more natural this time. Reminded me of episode one (without a couple of wobbly distractions). This is how this informal show should have been hosted all along.
As for Stacy, unlike many, I think she was fun as a ONE TIME appearance in episode 6…
Finally, I appreciate the fact that this time the high quality version appeared on mininova, if that was deliberate, that is. Downloading the best quality version directly seemed a bit unfitting for a show dedicated to filesharing.
Anyway, let’s see what this endeavor develops into…
This was the first episode of TorrentfreakTV I watched, so I can’t really say anything regarding how Tracia did last time, but I have to admit I enjoyed the show. The news were interesting and apart from that aXXo advice and torrentsite info at the end, it stayed serious and focused. Thanks for the list of other torrentsites, though. :)
To those of you who seem to hate the hostess: give the girl a break. If one is not used to being in front of a camera(any kind, mind you), it can be kind of unnerving, which seemed to emanate from her.
Apart from that, good show! Keep it up!
Agreed, Stacy can use some improvement, but I’m sure that will come in time. I’m actually just happy that someone takes the time to put this show together.
These things take a lot of work and I’m glad that someone has stepped up to the challenge.

I appreciate the effort, I really do. But: You guys do not seem to understand the concept of the medium video. All stories in this (except the one about Blank) are simply news stories, read by an announcer, with no video support. You need to take your camera and go “out there”, or use other video material, to justify a TV show. Otherwise, these stories are better read than watched.

The show got MUCH better since last time but damn it lose the Stacy character it’s irritating to watch that shit.
I think it’s a consensus she’s not quite entirely natural… And who on the internet DOESN’T like explaining.
But f#$@. What do you want? An MTV podcast or another prick like kevin rose?
I’d like longer episodes, personally. There’s not as much feedback/discussion on some of the stories. In some cases, just a headline, and then a joke, sometimes carried over from the previous story. I mean, half episode #7 was a trailer for a movie that I don’t want to see, and her reading letters. Read letters if the show’s going to be longer.
I like stacy. She’s simply a real girl trying to do her job. She’s probably actually pretty awesome cuz I have yet to meet a girl who’s interested in all this stuff on torrentfreak

Any way, I made a mistake in my crude comment last week. I meant to say “Stacy” not “Stacia”…. I apologize deeply Stacia… I had absolutely nothing bad to say about your performance. My problem was with the Stacy scene. I was so annoyed by the scene with Stacy in it I felt compelled to write that comment. My comment was immature to say the least and I probably shouldn’t of written it. To be fair though, my comment was more of a rant, rather than a suggestion. No where in my comment did I mention that it was a suggestion. So yeah, your right, it wasn’t really a suggestion because I wasn’t writing one. I was writing an nonconstructive rant.
Any way,back to current times… episode 7 was really good! Awesome job! I still think the whole *Stacy* act need to go though…. it kinda takes away from the quality of the show. :\

Thank you for summarizing weeks worth of articles into an user-friendly short show. Occasionally, I’ll miss an article on something quite interesting and it’ll be pointed out there. Most of the show is solid and it does contain good information on a variety of topics.
In my opinion(JUST my opinion), the second girl who makes an appearance in the show seems out-of-place. The ‘ditsiness’ isn’t very appealing(at least, certainly not to me). She may be the most wonderful person to walk the earth, but she seems to be barely above an attempt to grab a 14 year old’s attention. On a second note, and this seems to be improving with every show, I get the feeling that the content is being read off by a teleprompter – it feels somehow forced.
But again, thank you. This is at no charge to me, yet its time you’ve all invested for my(our) benefit.

Since everything else has been said, I just wanted to make a small note on something that could be changed to make a small improvement. In the beginning title, when the ‘.tv’ drops into place, use a different ‘ding’ than you used on the others, to make it final. You could also linger there for 1-2 seconds longer, seems to rushed for me.
Overall, you’re getting better, keep up the good work guys :P

It’s good you’ve got a thick skin, but you should probly let someone else read comments and give you a summary. I remember some celebrity saying her mom read all her fan/critic comments and only passed on the stuff she needed to hear.

i think it’s awesome that you guys are trying something new. i’m sure these shows are a lot more work than most people realize and i admire your innovation and creativity.
also everyone who ever starts a project like this only gets better over time. look at your favorite performer, whether it’s an actor, musician, anything, their first work was terrible and now they are awesome. so don’t listen to the jerkoffs making rude comments!

Very much improved, but PLEASE get rid of the “Stacy” bit. It’s kind of insulting.
Also, actually reviewing a private tracker or two would be cool instead of just flashing a list on the screen for three seconds.
Verdict:
A bland, palatable cud prepared by crushed and spiritless Sheep, to promote docility in Lambs accustomed to grazing the ass of(f) MTV.
Suggestions:
Rename to ‘TorrentFreakShow’, lose the dumb yankee bimbo-du-jour + so-called ‘writers’, sub in a functional geek with own actual character/humour/zeal to preach/teach strategy/techniques of class war and revolution to the masses yearning for leadership.

The main host did much better this time around but she could still make it slicker. The main thing is that its very obvious that she is reading what she is saying.

I have being downloading every episode on miro after Stacia came on the air, she a nice personality and a cuter face, she brings sunshine to torrent freak as well as knowledge and experience. She should be the new face of torrent freak. and she looks well taken of.

Yeah, the show’s okay, but the host is weak. Her speech cadence and intonation is a little odd which makes it hard for me to concentrate on what she is saying.
I’ve produced and directed for TV and cinema and I wouldn’t have picked her. Sorry.
We know it has to be a girl and one who is fairly good looking at least, but her voice hampers her delivery. The Stacy comedy element is pretty weak too. The characterisation is okay, but a good script for that part will sustain a weak character. Unfortunately, her scripting is weak so it shows up how empty the character is.
I suspect the script is written in one session without any major redrafting and that’s why it suffers. Writing a half-decent script (even for a light factual show like this) is actually quite hard. The script should be rewritten a few times before air to iron out the problems. Comedy is a lot harder than purely factual matters, so good comedy scripts need a lot of working and reworking to make them good. Someone suggesting that “Hey, I can like do a silly voice and pretend to be like an idiot or something.” just isn’t enough.
Hopefully this comment won’t be read out on the show with a retort like “Your comment is boring.” You don’t sound clever or funny reading out negative comments and attempting to ridicule them. It makes you sound weak and defensive.

I personally enjoyed the show, it was a decent piece, and it’s good to see that the general quality does not degrade, but actually goes the opposite way. For an amateur show, I’m giving it two thumbs up, and I DON’T imagine it going the ‘pro’ way. Stay indie, stay yourselves!
The Stacy switch was’t bad, but I found it unnecessarily distracting. It could work if put in a different environment, though, like in the ‘out’n'live’ episode from November.
