This one is worst than last weeks episode. You were doing sooo well to.
Stop reading so akwardly, its so damn annoying. Go watch CNN, MSNBC, FOX, or any other broadcaster… watch how it flows kinetically, smooth speaking styles.
Just work on your presentation. It will continue to get better. I hope you understand this is just constructive criticism. Keep up the good work.

fantastic! It’s amazing how far this show has come… I really enjoyed this episode and can’t wait for the next one.
The only thing I didn’t really care for was the long intro… like the intro was great when I first watched it a few episodes back… but after seeing it a few times it gets kind of long :\

this host is awful. Whenever i see her it seems she’s awkward and tries to sound techy. Microsoft Sam sounds more knowledgeable than this idiot.

That seemed like an improvement – no major criticisms this time at all and the quality of the show might have reached the level when no further improvements are necessary. Didn’t expect Stacia to improve that quickly.
Still, who the hell is in charge of releasing the show, to mininova at least? Once again I had to download it directly because it was the only way to get the top quality version. It doesn’t matter on my connection but this is a torrent show after all, isn’t it?
Well, at least people other than myself started noticing that the intro might be a bit too long. Have been telling that from episode 6. 10 seconds would be OK, 15 would be the limit of being reasonable and 26 is an overkill, especially for a 6-7 minute long show.
No idea how to contact you, but your “Older Entries” links don’t seem to work. Although I get sent to a new page, it has the same stories on them. This is in Firefox 3.0.8 & IE7.
Hey, let me do your audio mastering! U is doing it wrong. Volumes bounce from here to there, the announcer can barely be heard. She doesn’t articulate very well, but with a better mic (rather a close mic, like a wireless fly for example) and proper mixing one could make it sound good. Also, you should consider compressing of vocals, de-essing and equalisation… PLZ PLZ PLZ give your program for someone to master before putting out on intertubes. KTHXBAI.
I do not like this new host.

This was the best TF TV by far and I disagree about the host, she’s doing just great and I believe she has huge potential! Not only that but she must be fearless too, I don’t have the balls to do anything like this

The episodes have improved in terms of Stacia knowing her lines, but her delivery still leaves something to be desired. She still sounds like she’s reading off cue cards (which she probably is). She runs one story into the next with no real indication that the subject has changed.
When a person is speaking normally, they’re more relaxed, there are changes in their tone, and their speaking patterns are natural. When Stacia is reading the stories, her speaking pattern is too robotic. She should try to sound more like she’s talking to a group of friends rather than just reading lines.

@Rekrul: first of all this might not be something that’s proffessional, but it sure beats watching the local news channels. Secondly, if you haven’t counted yet, lets see how many obvious misstakes these reporters who get paid ridiculous sum of money an hour make. in contrast, who pays the torrentfreak team to do an episode? Lol just think clearly, people do ave lives out there and obviously this is not the only thing they do, and much less for a living. If ya want something for free at least be able to accept the catch. I was surprised to even hear background music and the like on these, plus the effects that were done. Its a bit unprincipled and ironic, however, that the crap the movie and music industries are spitting is of a much lower and pre-fabricated quality and yet open source software and other things that are given out without monettary cost are at least twice the better.
Oh my goodness, it does get worse. I’m sorry, Stacia, but you’re just not good at this. Your cadence is erratic and stuttering.

Me too, I liked this episode very much. The background tune is cool, the host really gets better and better with her posture, gestures and voice, (there was no Stacy), the news delivery was good, without any disturbances. Stay at this level, guys, and you’ll earn a (larger) devoted fanbase :)
I have to second the comments about the length of the intro though. While it looks like if it was done by some of the great gonzos from Fairlight or Moppi of the demoscene, it is too long indeed. The original one, with the TV (it’s TF TV, after all) was much nicer. Other than this, great work, kudos!

love the site, but the show is difficult to watch due to the hosts’ stilted way of speaking. a modest proposal: have her light a j before air.

I do like the idea of these episodes, but seriously, it’s not just people being negative. Stacia, you are NOT good at this.
Were you never in speech class in high school? You need to talk naturally.
You TALK, LIKE this, AND it, IS very, AWKward TO listen… TO.
Aside from Stacia, every part of these episodes are professional looking and quite excellent. I do understand that this isn’t some big budget production, but finding someone that can speak naturally shouldn’t be THAT difficult. Random people with no public speaking experience do it all the time on instructional YouTube videos and stuff like that.
I just started watching these episodes and to me, it sounds like Stacia is a little more interested and energetic than Ashley when reading the segments. There’s definitely better flow with these shows compared to the ones in 2008, the dropping headline title kind of interrupts the flow. I have to concur with some of the other commentators that reading from a teleprompter isn’t the easiest thing either and I don’t know about you but I would be catching my breath too if i had to read three paragraphs in a row without a break. I think if she was doing this on a daily basis she would have it down pat. It’s why the TV newscasters make it sound natural, they do it everyday for years plus they have commercials. I’m sure overtime she’ll get it. Good show, I like it!
I think Stacia is getting better. Come on guys give the girl a break. Her delivery is not perfect but she is getting better and this not a prime time TV show it is a podcast.

btw rich authors are rare. there are no tons of JK Rowling. Still to me the book industry is less affected by piracy because people like holding books in their hand and carry them. Nobody download books to print them and replace the original book experience.
