Torrentspy lost their TV and Movie directory

Written by Ernesto on March 18, 2006

Torrentspy, one of the biggest torrent sites out there “lost” their TV and Movie directory. This obviously makes it harder for people to browse through the torrent listing and find the files they want. The categories in question are replaced by a more general “video” directory. And categories like DVD-screener, Telecine and Cam are totally gone.

I’m sure the MPAA is happy about it, could the be a reaction the attack by the MPAA? Or is it just another step in Torrentspy’s quest for legitimacy?

Just a thought - if peer guardian has a list of “media spies” IP addresses, these IP lists could very well be used by clever hackers to disable the media spy system. If only I had learned more about hacking. Someone should torrent a practical, easy guide to media spy counter terrorism. :]
