Virgin Media is the only ISP in the UK which is blocking The Pirate Bay by scanning packets, and not at the DNS level.

I tried to access it using my proxy, and it only worked for 5 seconds before the Virgin Media notice webpage showed up.

Anonymous didn’t do this. I was actually in the chat room for Anons and we were frantically trying to find out who was DDoSing TPB and blaming it on us. Currently, we think it was “Anonymous Nyre”, a highly anti-Anonymous “hacker” who tried taking it down because it was one of the places Anonymous posts information.

So in no way would Anonymous DDoS TPB. We may not agree with TPB in their views of DDoS, but we would NEVER DDoS them! Especially them! We stand for an open internet, so do they. Why the fuck would we try to hurt TPB!?
