Set the maximum simultaneous downloads to 1 or 2 or whatever, then organize the torrents in the main window in the order you want them to download.

These are NOT the same as people on Transmission’s site says they are. My Snow Leopard system runs ten times slower after downloading a torrent and having nothing but “inactive” memory remaining.
