Sorry, but you’re wrong, the treaty was ratified by the Senate unanimously in September 2006. The Constitution does not prohibit anything that you are claiming in the way you are phrasing it.

If there’s no difference, why not apply the same evidence thresholds on both sides of the Atlantic?

He hasn’t been paid for this ruling: honestly I would be genuinely surprised if any cash or property had changed hands. He has however been “leant on” – this is just another case of lackeys choosing their battles. Why would the UK government invalidate a working treaty? – there are bigger things they need to call in their favours in Washington for: Things like arms contracts and trade agreements.
