This is scary, for the fact that they can actually now just take any domain they want. Just imagine the power you have if you can just take a domain over. Of course they will try to sell these domains probably later on, if the domain name is profitable. It is just like taking drug cars and later selling them on the auction block.

What this administration has done to my beloved country makes me sad and MAD. I just want to SCREAM! I warned everyone I knew that if O'b was elected he'd ruin the country and he IS doing so, he and his commie cronies. People call him a Democrat. Well he's not. He's a PROGRESSIVE who wants to progressively tear our nation down bit by bit, to the COMPLETE breakdown of the U.S.

That's the PLAN! Tear it down and then build it back up........into THEIR VISION of what America should be.... a country of people SUBSERVIENT TO THE GOVERNMENT. Ob's probably got posters of Hitler all over his bedroom walls (WITH lipstick 'kisses' all over them).

"If they had an pay model where I could purchase non restricted content for $1.99 per movie I would pay all day instead of downloading/ripping."

I call bullshit. That was the same excuse 5 years ago about music, "oh if only I could buy the songs for like a dollar each I'd buy them instead of stealing them". Thieves always find a way to justify their actions to themselves. But they are still thieves.

The issue here is that the US has confirmed that .com is not international. Anyone who doesn't want to be controlled by US laws should now seriously avoid .com and other ICANN controlled TLD (top level domains) (including .net and .org).

ICANN has delegated country TLDs to countries. For example, Canada controls .CA But Canada can get bullied into anything by the giant next door....

I'm guessing the safest country is .CH (Swiss)

I see a HUGE market for the two letter .country codes that are not under US control. ICANN has no control over .CH and it would be an act of War if it ever did...

The US is entering an era which is "unfortunate". Add this to the wikileaks takedowns and I'm glad I'm not American! Makes me scared as hell to visit them these days! Even posting this message scares me because they might track me down and blacklist me... US Citizens are starting to live in a Police State governed by large corporations and large industry.

I'm paying money to the Recording Industry to make data backups on DVD and CD because we have a Levy in Canada. You can image that my views on downloading material has changed as a result.

I would love to see an organized revolt by businesses to stop collecting withholding taxes for the federal government.

The states should organize and collectively refuse to stop withholding within their borders.

This is the only way you will get the attention of Washington DC. Take a cue from the Civil Rights Movement. They got past the fear of going to jail and of police dogs, and they helped themselves. This is the ONLY way we are going to change things. The Health Care Debate should have been plenty proof enough that the politicians don't care what voters think anymore.

All these superfluous objections to tyranny!

After you people spend enough time under the boot of tyranny, you'll finally come to your senses.

When is someone in the glorious freedom loving Tea Party going to suggest a mass work stoppage or civil protest? Lets do it, or just get used to being slaves.

If you do host something illegal, your hosting account will be suspended.

If your illegal site uses a domain, that domain will be suspended. Makes sense, doesn't it?

All domains are under ICANN control, ICANN is under US control.

I'm surprised why it has taken so long. Can't wait to see WarezBB going down.

Why don't they seize sites that distribute viruses and malware? They are fighting a loosing battle against torrents and wasting time and resources.

Why not do something that will benefit everyone and seize sites that distribute malware, viruses, etc?

Bullcrap, the small software company excuse is just lame.If I can’t afford it I take it anyway because I can’t buy it. Who is losing here ?. No one.

This is biggest BS I've ever read. Just because it's not a physical product, it's OK to steal it? That small software company put in time (and thus money) to develop that product.

WTF why isn't ICE putting all of it's resources into our broken border? Have they looked at the crime wave in Phoenix AZ because of their ineptitude? Leave it to an Obama government to work on closing down websites while murders are going on in our southern border states. Obama needs to get his ass to the border. All states should pass laws like Arizona's!
