I believe you just explained piracy perfectly. First, you can put tap water in a water bottle, therefore destroying your argument of portability or availability. Anywhere you can buy bottled water you also have tap water in a water bottle available. To your next point about quality, that is exactly the point. The reason why people drink bottled water was exactly why you said, better quality. FIle-sharing does having a competing service and people chose file-sharing partly because of quality just as they choose bottled water.

Maybe they are still moving it to every download server to have a smoother launch, maybe it's because they wanted to launch at the same time on every platform (and sony's masterdisk signing process is a bitch)
Maybe they just don't want to sell it now. It's really only hurting them to do this.

As a comparison, according to the PS3 version of bioshock infinite, the release version was completed on the 2nd of march (according to a file on the disk)

this is what the problem actually is. to days file sharing is compared to the Pirates activity of the past and it shouldn't be. REAL Pirates actually STOLE tangible goods that actually had and STILL do have REAL value.
they were also murders and rapists that didn't give a shit about any one but them selves.

"sounds more like the actual activity of the copyright holders to me"

so as usual the world gets there FACTS wrong.

nice read btw.

So if it's not complete then pirates, at this point, will not be getting the actual product.

So if that's the case then what's the problem?

What you are saying is, it is fine, for the companies to rip off their customers, by releasing amazing looking demos, previews, and so on... which makes the game, or movie, sound like it would be amazing. But when the customer actually buys said game or movie, it turns out to be a steaming pile of shit, and due to 99% of most company's return policy, once it's been opened you can't return it for a refund... But, if you download a program, movie, game, or so on, to try it before you actually make the investment, that's somehow robbing the companies, and not cool. Hypocritical bullshit. Yes, I think you rate right up there in stupidity with the rest of the brown shirts that refuse to actually realize that the old methods of doing things are dead. Try doing actual research, on the real effects of piracy, before you spout off this utter nonsense. Study after study after study that were conducted by actual legitimate independent organizations (That is, ones that are not funded by the MAFIAA) have all concluded that if anything piracy actually makes companies MORE money in the long run, because, it is, fundamentally like promotion. But, these greedy assholes, being what they are, would rather penalize the people who download their stuff because they simply cannot afford it to begin with, because they don't like anyone getting stuff for free.
