Obama has been so disappointing. I’ll give him credit for at least trying to do some of what he promised, but he relented to the opposition much too easily and never returned to those issues — like they never existed in the first place.

The only thing which redeems Obama from all his failures is that he was a better choice than Romney or McCain. There’s no telling what kind of screwed up stuff would have been implemented had either of those two won.

And because his opinion tended to not harmonize with CiC very often he found himself forced to feed the UN blatant lies in public – the yellowcake scandal – and knew that he was forcing his nation into a needless war. After which he was quietly retired. I’ve always believed his stint with GWB was the primary reason why he later dropped out of public service. No one would spend eight years with GWB & Co and come out still believing in his government…

Obama is simply an ineffective president unable to push a single required reform through congress without buying the votes from across the aisle with dire compromises. Neither better nor worse than many presidents. His main crime is that he actually promised hope and change. And then had to backpedal from most of it – like the whistleblower protection act.

But if it works to keep other countries off your back, then that’s a big plus!

I get really tired of seeing Obama blamed for something which never would have happened in the first place if Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, et al hadn’t invaded Iraq. I’m referring to this ISIS/ISIL crap, of course.

The only one on Bush’s cabinet who had any sense at all was Gen. Colin Powell. He had integrity in spite of party affiliations. I actually felt sorry for him for what was done in order to get us into Iraq.

The economic downturn in 2008 was not directly something which Bush could be blamed for — but $1.7 trillion for Iraq didn’t really help either — nations all over the world were tanking at the time.

Like you said, Obama’s lies are nothing in comparison to GW’s lies.

As for Bush being “Goofy” — I always thought of him as more of a “Bonzo” the chimp. :-)

No, actually Goofy would be the predecessor of the current incumbent. Though what sort of characters you’d represent GWB’s cabinet with – Wolfowicz, Rumsfeld and Cheney – is anybody’s guess. Safe to say you couldn’t find a convenient cartoon villain from Disney to represent those asshats though.

And it has to be said that no matter how bad Obama is he can not match the way GWB lied to his country, his citizenry and the rest of the world for the express purpose of starting a war of aggression.

It’s kind of like a balloon filled with water — squeeze one end and the other end gets larger. Thing is — no two people will squeeze that balloon the same way.

The transfer of value won’t necessarily go where they think it will.
