....all these things happen while Google sit quietly in the corner without anyones finger pointed at them. Very few people would know any of these issues exist without Google's help. We all like to throw our censorship toys out of our prams (me esspecially!!) on both sides of the argument, while Google sits in the middle doing nothing. The time is coming where Google will have to pick a side, and odds are they're going to choose the wrong one.

freedom of speech only exists so that the people who "allow" it can know what we have to say. So i suggest we start some kind of digital revolutions in the same mannor as what wikipedia calls "The Great American Strike" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_American_Boycott). Make them realise how much of their profit is as a direct result of what they're trying to censor.

Buying into this tiny unimportant debate about individual companies (BPI, MAFIAA, etc.) is just giving them a stage to make their point. Take their point away from them and they have nothing left. If we stop using their products, legally or illegally, they will either die off or adapt to survive. THEY need to value our contribution to what they do, like Sony had to when someone invented the cassette recorder. Occasionally they need to be bitten, just to remind them that we still have teeth!!

Totalitarian regimes...as if the UK Government with its Windows XP and Teresa May can actively monitor the internet... it's a ridiculous claim to make. This is the UK... With its masses of cameras that are rendered useless because no-one is watching them, or their broken- and I bet it's the very same with the internet. May wishes she could watch everyone's internet usage. Shit- someone is knocking on my door....
