Everywhere I go, I see the infestation of this corrupt culture. Something tells me that as long as the laws are as they are, this horrid culture will continue to stay and infest in the social sphere. How many people exactly are turning to indie labels? I see not much of it.

people, calm down. there is no way anyone can control internet-for one reason only its constantly expanding and developing-this means for every new sucker presenting a ban on sth comes at least ten ppl like me who WILL find a way to bypass or destroy that restriction-if ppl in china manage to go through their firewalls, stan so can the western world.

All the before mentioned industry associations will be propt up by a failed business model.

Someone should tell them, it’s not about the numbers, it’s about the vision.

“The thing we all realized is that we all agree with each other 95% of the time. It’s looking at where the industry is going to be three, four or five years from now.”

The industry will be one of portfollio artists, self-publishing and generaly cutting out the middle-man and, that means you the industry associations.

These artists will have economies of scale if there work is good enough, long gone are the days where an artist can ride the back of a mass marketing campaign and, sell a load of phiffle.

Your music is your marketing campaign.

You get these artists, giving it the big-un, going on as if there the trendy dog’s schalackers, “I’m from the streets”..(rock-stars, home-boy’s)…but when it comes down to it.

They make there pact with grasses, who will shop there own followers to the old bill….that’s not gangster…that’s not real to the streets.

we don’t need to organize. more and more people are not listening to the radio, MTV doesn’t play any music, the records the majors want us to buy are getting worse and worse, being made for some theoretical person that does not exist, driving sales down. All the while, people are turning to indie labels and bands that do everything themselves.
