Unwanted torrents
Written by Ernesto on December 21, 2005A group of “hackers” is auto-installing BitTorrent on pc’s infected with the Lockx.exe Rootkit. They use this to “infect” those pc’s with horrible disney cartoons and mr. Bean movies. Inconvenient, but not really dangerous… however, you can easily imagine how they can use this to spread more evil things.
One positive thing about it for all the pirates out there. If the MPAA / RIAA are suing you, just respond with: I’m not guilty, those damn hackers infected my pc again!
If you don't like torrents try MP3 Fiesta. They hold nearly 67,000 albums from nearly 17,000 artists. Prices are around the $0.10 mark for single tracks with full albums coming in at roughly $1.00. Tracks are available from 192kbps and they take major credit cards and PayPal
