Agree , these sites should be brought down.
( same as sites that sell Counterfeited DVDs ect.. )

But sharing the design for the goods should be free for personal use.

Or are ICE , going to arrest Little old ladies for Knitting copyrighted scarf designs ?

OK, these are the type of sites that should be attacked by the authorities because the people operating them are deliberately using these fakes to make cash for themselves, and that’s just not on.

The plonkers should just market their fakes at the same price with a proper name, brand whatever.

What I find helpful is that the US State Dep’t is currently funding ways to get around state censorship of the internet by so-called rogue states like Iran, Myannmar, China, N.Korea, etc and yet that’s precisely the sort of software need to breach Homeland Security’s ICE site blocks LoL.

Man, I love North America and their people so much, but it’s great to be a European and watch these stupid politicians game from the outside! It’s the US Government it thinks can do as it pleases anywhere it pleases. However if another Country started seizing US websites there would be all kinds of holy hell raised on Faux Newts, Taliban Talk Radio & the GOP Teabaggers.

Last year i was attacked by a counterfeit Coach handbag, it was awful. At first glance it seemed like a harmless handbag, after a few months of use the handbag began joining mosque meetings and rambling about how the infidels that made it were going to pay. It started buying bomb making materials from ebay, i reported this all to the feds, but it was too late, my handbag was long gone and joined a splinter cell to perform a fatwa on member of congress, tragic.

While I agree that most of those companies charge their product’s weight in money and thus they end up encouraging piracy, they are making money over somebody else’s work (even if it’s by using their brand).

I’m not sure if the law allows seizures with no proper court rulings but at least in this case these sites actually make money out of direct sales of products.
