Im a µTorrent user (because its PURE class) and i feel sorry for the people who got conned, but it goes to show before you jump in at the deep end research things that seem to good to be true, because more often than not they are!!! Finally if there is any people out there that this happens to again post it on loads of pages so that it can be dealt with properly and other people have a chance to avoid it.

Just because pages like mp3downloadhq.com is asking clients to pay for the service leaves them exempt due to the fact that XX money is being sent to the creators of the movies, programs, music, and games owners to make their usage legal.

Now… this could be true… or they could be just making this money and smoking a lot of weed not giving a fuck like most of us do when downloading the latest movie.

Previously, it had one of those “download mp3s” sites up which forced you to pay for support in order to get Azureus.

It was very similar to http://www.free-music-share.com/Utorrent and http://free-azureus-downloads.com/index.asp?revid=market50&kbid=1460&sub=ov_azureus . I could go on and on forever. Just search for your favorite P2P client and add the term “2007″ to it

It took us several years to rescue azureus.com . Winning legally doesn’t really help.. there’s a thing that’s called an appeal, combined with stretching out the legal process to take forever.

We still get support e-mails from people who think they paid us. Fortunately for most, their problem is already well known and we can fire off a quick solution e-mail. However, for the ones who send us complaint e-mails with no support questions, it’s more difficult to explain to them and it really makes me sad everytime I see one.

Sometimes I’m 1/2 tempted to send a Mr Slidey to new installs of old versions of Azureus (like 2.3.0.6) that most likely came from a dishonest site.
