BitTorrent only uses UDP ports 1024 and above, they do not use any TCP ports

In “lesser of two evils” I meant that the US government decided to shell out trillions in bailout packages, draining the public purse – rather than allow the entire economy to tank alongside the pension funds of the average US citizen.

Both GWB and Obama came to that decision, proving, essentially, your point. Which lacks relevance – i can come up with no arguments against your analysis of the sock puppet…err, two-party system, nor would I wish to try. :)

This is as succinct a summary of “politics” as I’ve read in a while.

Honestly, they like to think they are looking out for their citizenry – it’s just that they are usually both incompetent and loath to plan beyond the end of their next term. This provides for a government with the equivalent of attention deficit disorder which keeps pulling fast ugly patches over the consequences of short-term decisions with long-term effects.

Take shadow banking. As long as no one actually looks it provides an economic engine far faster than any other. Hence why no one has tried to curbstomp it in the past. Allowing it to run though, made for a ticking bomb which eventually detonated.
