From the perspective of ideology there’s no good solution to making the social contract voluntary before the age of 18. At the end arguing that it should be done more or less mandates dropping all infants on an island in international waters and wait until they swim onto the national shores once they reach adulthood.

That being the case, we’re left with accepting a minimum compromise. This is where national constitutions and UN human rights come in.

I get where you’re coming from, but like it or not, the social contract is the baseline we’re all standing on here. Everything else is just an argument about where the borders go.
