Agree........ 100%

but...
""If you run an exit relay, consider operating it in a Tor-friendly commercial facility instead of your home to make it less likely that law enforcement agents will show up at your door. ""

HYDRA effect will strike again.... as always......
exit relays will pop up everywhere....... On every server......

In the case of Tor, the police can avoid mistakenly pursuing exit relay operators by checking the IP addresses that emerge in their investigations against publicly available lists of exit relays published on the Tor Project’s web site. The ExoneraTor is another tool that allows anyone to quickly and easily see whether a Tor exit relay was likely to have been running at a particular IP address during a given date and time. The Tor Project can also help law enforcement agencies set up their own systems to query IP addresses easily.

What makes you think that the police are in any way ok with having people run Tor exit nodes? They want people to be afraid of having their door kicked in. The more afraid people are, the less likely they are to run exit nodes, or engage in any activity that makes it harder for the police to track people. They won't leave exit nodes alone because then they lose the intimidation factor and more people might act as exit nodes.

Ah, sanity and wisdom for a change. It is good, it's setting a precedent and an important one that will contain copyright bullies faster than what happened to Crossley.

As pointed out by EFF it's a clue. You'd have to get a search warrant and do some forensics to actually say if the person has or has not the infringing material and even if it's proven that the person has it, you can't say if he/she actually uploaded anything from the work. Even if your ratio is above 1 chances are you never uploaded a full copy of the content.

Score 1 for sanity and wisdom. It's unfortunately insanity and stupidity is still far ahead.
