Losers hate america, hating it is a religion – it offers a host of excuses and rationalizations for hating it and that’s what losers do – hate, shout, scream. Not much for creating things or building stuff. always death to that, death to this, etc… I took a look at your history and every post is the same – entitled rant to why you want other people’s hard work for free and a rant on america. How about you save your energy and piss off to india and direct all that anger towards dragging that shithole out of the middle ages.

Agreed, I am *really* tired of seeing serious articles use the word “pirate” as if it were an acceptable, accurate term, not a form of demonizing hate-speech that continues to reinforce incorrect assumptions about the nature of file sharing and the criminality thereof.

Or they could use their weight to make the very valid argument that automatic removal presents an undue burden upon the publisher, and state that they will comply when per-instance fees have been paid (within their right) and/or the legal veracity of the claim has been verified.

The current layout favors Copyright trolls heavily, and encourages a predatory media ecosystem, where new artists are suppressed by misdirected censorship and a functioning internet is secondary to the “intellectual property” concerns of people operating under false assumptions.

I was just being hypothetical about it, as in “if I HAD to live somewhere else…”.

I’d just as soon retain my US citizenship and spend a couple of months in Oz and England now and again. Best of all 3 worlds.

I just have to mention “living the American Dream” because why not.

Although never having lived as a resident in any other country, I have spent considerable time in many UK/EU, South American, Asian and Oceania countries on extended business trips as well as long vacations. Enough time to get a pretty good feel for things and enough time to “talk story” with both local biz associates an “the everyman” one meets (usually in bars).

Other than Australia, I wouldn’t seriously consider living in any other country. England would be my second choice because it is not on the Great Barrier Reef and has an unfavorable exchange rate to the US dollar. Can’t beat the pubs and pints of real ale and West End theater, though.

Nice places for extended visits, as long as I can come home to the USA in general and Hawaii in particular.

Because I made it does mean that it’s all OK…for me, anyway. Frankly, that’s pretty much all I care about anyway. I’m not exactly the poster boy for altruism.

Take it easy, but take it.

My God. The claim system is bullshit. The companies aren’t event the ones issuing the notices. It’s automatic. And very hard to combat if you aren’t associated with a larger network of things.
