@50 Hit the nail on the head mate.

I have never pirated anything you can buy from Steam, Why? Because it is extremely convenient for me to acquire and it is all priced reasonably.

IT SHOULD BE EASY TO PAY FOR THINGS , CURRENTLY IT IS EXTREMELY HARD, PEOPLE MOSTLY PIRATE FOR CONVENIENCE.

That major issue aside, I am simply not going to pay $100 for a movie i will watch once then throw into another pile of $100 movies i watched once.

I don't need the DVD case, I don't need the box, I don't need it bought to Australia from America via a plane - Why am i forced to pay for all those useless overheads?

The movie producers need to get with the times and adapt, The same way we moved on from VHS to DVD, We have moved from record and movie stores to websites and broadband.

The internet is the way of the future, It cuts out:
# CD's
# Packaging
# Shipping
# GLOBAL audience with minimum effort.
# Easier to pay for content, Paypal etc.
# More convenient for the customers.
# On-demand 24/7
# People are not reluctant to buy 'stock' of movies as they may or may not sell, As i said, GLOBAL audience for EVERY file.
# Because there is less overheads, you can charge less, more people likely to buy.

As you say, they have grown accustomed to making 10 times what a regular person does in 5% of the time with 5% effort.

Record labels for the most part are crooks, The fact when you download a movie it's 99.99% the labels complaining and NOT the artist is proof of that.

The artist should be profiting and not the labels!

The day recording industries setup a iTunes like store to sell movies and also games at cheap prices, is the day piracy nearly dies.

I download over 100GB of movies games and TV shows every month, I would be happy to pay $5 a pop for movies and $1 a pop for TV episodes, But even if i was to pay the exorbitant prices the industries want me to - i wont see it months, years later than our American friends.

Some people say 'just wait', I say: Do you know how annoying it is to hang out in a IRC channel and have overseas people go "s22 e21 of simpsons is great" and crap on about happenings in it, when back home s19 e10 is showing and you have no clue what they are talking about?

Then to make matters worse millions, no, billions are being spent on pathetic lawsuits, They could have setup the biggest network of content distribution server farms in the world to get movies to everyone for a fee by now..
