Because if they could do that…. All this site blocking would be shown to ultimately be an impotent and misguided waste of money and time and probably make the IP enforcement brigade look like a bunch of deluded fucktards, at least in the long-term.

Here’d hoping the EU Court steps up & applies the precedent recently sent Italian Courts to the whole continent…

“The Court held that the ISP blockade of the website was disproportionate because the copyright infringement occurs on individual pages. The entire website can therefore not be blocked for copyright reasons,” Sarzana notes.

And hopefully the Court requires more than a simple automated keyword search that seems to be sufficient for US DMCA take down requests when deciding upon which pages to block.

Data on everyone will likely be kept forever and by that I mean tens of thousands of years in to the future. With surveillance planes monitoring all movements in cities 24/7, the totalitarian nightmare is coming sooner or later.

Used to think those who talk like that were total nutcases but it is now obvious this is where we are heading.

As technology gets better, will be easy for them to do the whole countries like this, in much high resolution. No doubt the future will bring a technology where they can see people through walls from that distance too, getting past the limitations they have currently with infrared/heat signatures. Add all this together with advances in storage capabilities….there will be total control/knowledge of everyone in the not so distant future.
