What the article forgets to mention is that Blackrock Films released THE TUNNEL movie in both USA and Canada. Limited Theatrical release and of course on DVD and VOD. Paramount did the Australian release.. not North America.

Yeah crowd funding. I mean that wen over really, really well for the Pirate Bay anniversary party. I can see it now. Pirates won’t contribute, the general public won’t contribute but you know what? A few billionaires will fund all of our movies just so they can further control the message. Uh oh! w-w-what if it’s Warren Buffet and then all movies would have to put the Obama administration in a positive light or never get to see the light of day? What if it’s the MPAA? An ad before or at the end of a movie would make them a pretty penny since there would be much less competition.

Obama could hurt piracy by signing a bill that makes sharing all files files over the internet legal, making it illegal to prosecute file sharers and calling it the Obama File Sharing Freedom act and all no one a large number the people that are pirating would all of a sudden be against it.
