If these sites were truly hacked by some sort of “secret” anti-piracy group, the would HAVE to announce that they did it.

Pirating (/cringe) isn’t a National Security threat. If law enforcement had shut them down, they would be required by law to explain why they were shut down.

Citing violations of whatever bullshit copyright laws they supposedly broke…
