Did you forget that the cinemas are merely the receivers of these shit films being given to them? Or did you forget for this moment that MPAA and Hollywood itself are responsible for making these possible?

That’s a dumb question to ask about why aren’t movies being released on DVD/Blu-Ray while they’re in cinemas. That’s like saying a disc should just shit out from the ceiling, plop on to a watcher’s lap and they’re good to go!

No I don’t grasp your idealistic logic. Simply because I believe digitally and streaming has long defeated the DVD/Blu-Ray formatting. However, I’ll give the point though that if a movie had been released shortly or digitally somepoint in cinemas or shortly after. Maybe then they have that route that’s inexcusable why they can’t do it sooner since doing things digitally takes absolutely no time at all and 10x faster than waiting on a physical copy.

No they don’t. I’d say the cinemas deserve the piracy for trying to maintain an obsolete business model. The cammers are a result of the demand for movies that are not out on DVD/Blu-Ray yet.

You don’t understand how easier it is for a movie to get on DVD/Blu-Ray than it was several years ago.

The problem is I do understand. Why aren’t the movies released on DVD/Blu-Ray while they are still in cinemas? Because the greedy bastards want to make more money, selling the movie to the cinemas before they put the DVD/Blu-Ray on the market, this way the cinemas are willing to pay a lot more for the movie because they are selling it exclusively (monopoly). Then once the movie is out on DVD/Blu-Ray they can sell it once again exclusively. This means they can set the prices again. (Digital) distribution is so cheap these days, the value of movies is close to zero. There are antitrust laws, but apparently they don’t apply when copyright is involved. Now, do you understand?

You don’t understand how easier it is for a movie to get on Blu-Ray/DVD than it was several years ago. Usually they come out the same year the movie was released in theaters by a few months. That is pretty fast than waiting a year or two.

Are you retarded? People are recording movies in cinemas because other people want to see movies recorded in cinemas. They are clearly willing to take the risk. You fail to understand that when a movie is in cinemas, it usually isn’t available on DVD or Blu-Ray yet. Blame the release windows business model, not the market.

Haha, that crazy FDA! ;) I believe this is a great initiative from the part of the Creative Content Industry, and I am really glad to know that the staff of the movie theaters are jumping in on the idea of stopping the ‘Cammers’ and their illegal copy of the movies. Even without the bonus incentive, it is still in the best interest of the staff (as well as of society as a whole!) to stop the practice, since the illegal reproduction and pirate sale of movies directly hurt the income of the theaters, the studios, and the Industry as a whole. It is clear, therefore, that their jobs are directly on the line and put on jeopardy by the actions of the pirates. Let us all hope that this newest attempt will be successful, and the Creative Industry, as well as the living hood of thousands of movie theater staff and their families, becomes that much safer against the damaging influence of pirates and “cammers”!

Reviews, Previews, Trailers aren’t enough? Is it truly worth it to get caught recording so that when people actually do go to the theaters it’s harder on them? By them I’m talking people who actually pay to get into the theaters and are treated like terrorists.

DVD/Blu-Ray Ripping makes more sense to me than sitting there like an idiot in a theater with cam at the record.

This makes sense to you, how?

Some people don’t want to go to the cinema but they do want to watch a movie, even if it’s bad quality. Some people are willing to go to the cinema to record it for them (Whether they are financially rewarded or not). Supply meets demand. You can hate all you want.
