Good start, but being an indexer instead of a tracker doesn’t quite help too much. Sites like Bitme, bitspyder, ebooksshares, and bibliotik have the content I need.

Knowledge should be free… If the U.S. government wants to censor education within their country the end result will only hurt them.

While children in other countries learn from the availability of this type of education, U.S. students will continue to lose out. Making the stereotype about dumb Americans even more true.

I hope the writers of these books feel more passionate about wanting to spread educational the word than selling out…

They should make an open textbook that is made by the community, validated by professors and adopted into schools as a standard. Why hasn’t anyone done that? Wikipedia did that for their encyclopedia. They could charge about $20 per nontransferable digital copy to support a perpetual advancement and to pay the professors for their validation work. It would be nice if this book could be digitally synchronized every four years or so for free.

One thing I’ve noticed: the website seem to accept “packs” which I personally think to be a bad thing. I know you can choose just the one file you want with your BT client but it does make searching a lot easier, and gives the possibility to add the book’s cover on the torrent info page and whatnot.

I got about 195 gigs on textbooks backed up. I might start going through it and uploading the popular stuff on this site… if the admin who posted here was legit and they are actually moving the site outside of the US of A.

How stupid are they to host their site in the US?

Its’ days are surely numbered!

You need to host these types of sites in a country that is not in North America, the EU or a Nato country. For example the CIS countries or a developing country.

Learn Russian or find some friends who speak it.
