I am one of the foolish people that allowed themselves to trust in Obama’s lies. Their are quite a few of us that voted for him once and will not do it again. The only problem for all us in the US and apparently a problem for some outside the US as well is our government is for sale. Over 30,000 lobbyist for less than 500 elected officials. Millions of dollars a day is spent by big business to control our government. This is where we have let ourselves get to.

I agree copyright law needs to be reformed, but like it or not copyright laws are good for both content creators and their consumers. Copyright laws have a rightful place in society.

Its no fun for us american either. We elect people in office who seem to share our beliefs, only to see they sell out thier loyalties to the highest bidder. We’re now a society where its taboo to speak out against whats wrong, and those who dare to defy the status quo are ignored and ridiculed (Ron Paul anyone?) Every day our liberties are being stripped away, and we are being treated like common thieves instead of rational people. I despise that we have a government we can’t belive in, and we have officials signing controversial things into law without as much as asking the public “Hey are you okay with this?” We have news networks trying to warp our way of thinking so that we wont question or protest if we lose yet another layer of privacy. Welcome to America, land of the Not so Free.

Agreed. Bush kinda put him in a tough spot. He has done well enough considering he was trying for the impossible.

It is highly doubtful any of the presidents in the USA will not fall for the MAFIAA.

Well, let’s put it this way, folks. If you think the Republicans are going to stand up to MAFIAA pressure, think again. Good example: Christopher Dodd, who is now the CEO of the MPAA. We already know that the MAFIAA owns Lamar Smith and at least several other originiators of SOPA and PIPA. At least Obama originally stood his ground against MPAA pressure, though he does, of course, protect copyright. It’s not likely in this country that a person will win the presidency by advocating internet piracy.
