By your logic, we might as well pay a royalty to Wheaties for giving us the energy to go to work in the first place! Should we also pay Mcdonald’s a royalty if we take lunch there? After all, your productivity suffers if you’re hungry.

Do I have to pay if I hum a tune while working? This is really taking it too far.

i think if enough people stopped providing these people – then they would go away …
truckers refuse to deliver anything to or from them
internet companies refuse to provide a connection to them or their “police”
lawyers refuse to work for them
taxi drivers refuse to take them anywhere
mechanics refuse to fix their company cars
computer technicians refuse to fix their networks and computers
sandwich shops refuse to sell them lunch
newspapers refuse to run their ads
banks refuse to handle the fines and penalties the receive
artists refuse to sign up with them
the public stops buying their cd’s one at a time until they agree to return copyright back to its original 7 year period …
democracy in action – one person at a time …

I’m gonna do what I want to with music and I dare anybody to try and stop me.
I’m a 60 year old survivor of Viet Nam and I keep fit.
What? These idiots want to charge people for listening to music? Bwahahaha!

Pay ME for listening to what you want me to hear. I decide what I listen to and anybody that decides different can pry my CD out of my cold, dead hands.

Hello, Rob8urcakes! You seem to be under the impression, for some reason, that I am part of the Creative Industry’s watchdogs (or at least am in their payroll, so to speak ;) ). But the fact is, and my reputation in this community backs this claim up, I am a completely unbiased, non-partisan commenter; my only agenda, if you may call it that ;), is to defend and expose the Truth in this far too-often muddled arena. I will, indeed, always side with the party whose claims represent the Truth; and, as much as it may upset you, this time, the Truth lies in SABAN’s claims.
Hopefully, now that we are properly introduced, we will be able to partake in a mutually enlightened, civil discussion of the Facts at hand! ;)

I shall reiterate.
Any transport business that requires one
to regularly travel long distances needs a radio
for SAFETY and efficiency.
Read the comment above by Big Rigg’n
The local and nationalroad news and weather reports are what the radio is
needed for by any long distance driver.
By choice drivers would put a cd into the cd player and listen
to the music that they want to listen to rather than the oft
repeated crap which intersperses the mindless drivel and advertisements
generally obtained these days on most radio stations!
Besides the fact royalties are paid by radio stations under public license.
agreements which also restricts the amount of music they can afford to put
on their playlists!
THE MUSIC COMPANIES HAVE ALREADY BEEN PAID!
If you haven’t any idea about the amount of legislation already complied with
by professional drivers on road safety then you are plain sad!
Besides Big Rigg’n avoiding tornados.
What about really bad winters.
Get stuck in a snowdrift and freeze to death because you hadn’t listened to the news.
I suppose you are the type of person who would stay at home in this type of weather
and moan about the local supermarket running out of bread whilst the delivery
driver as rolled backwards down a hill and died in a road accident because he hadn’t
listened to the local police bulletin on the radio warning drivers to avoid that hill.
Professional drivers drive in conditions that could put their lives at risk and any
help including the local and national weather and road reports are essential!
