I'll 2nd that sentiment bobmail. I would be offended if I went to work and didn't get paid. So I would be a hypocrite to not pay for media content, which is the product of someone else's work. Simply immoral to take property without paying compensation, unless the creator is offering it for free.

Given those premises: I rent my DVD's. I used to rip them and populate my Plex server, but now I simply return the DVD without ripping it and download the torrent since that is much more efficient. That way I pay for the product and keep a copy of it on my drive if the movie is worth keeping. It may sound crazy to many of you, but would not work for free so I shouldn't impose that on others.

If you still expect XBMC to still run on the original XBOX hardware you're an idiot. it's called that because that is where it started. They haven't made a build for the original XBOX in years.

<i>"Cord cutting is pretty much self-defeating in the long run, removing the economic motivation that creates all that content."</i>

The irony is that you don't even realize how far off into fantasy land you are with that comment.

What you are saying is, in essence, that the last twenty years are showing us that all of mankind's history has been without good culture up until they invented cable and a way of charging people for it.

While you are at it, why not cry us a river about how open-source efforts such as this shows everyone that the middleman distribution industry is so bereft of innovation that progress such as this makes Sony and Warner look like a bunch of glassy-stared and slackjawed yokels?
